Staff were very pleasant and nice. TV in our room didn’t work. Given we were in the middle of the World Cup, we’re soccer fans, and we had a two night stay, that was a major inconvenience. Other than the reception personnel, no indication this was even attempted to be addressed and no offer of compensation. Did not make us feel valued.

The only reason they didn’t receive a higher rating was that there was no daily housekeeping, it was missing a hair dryer( which they promptly rectified ) and there was no kettle in the room for tea. There is no real amenities ie a gym but the breakfast was lovely. The property has no outside garden or outdoor space to enjoy however it was a perfect walk to downtown. The staff was very nice and accommodating installing a hair dryer while we were out, cleaning our room earlier then slotted in bc there timing didn’t work for us,( but not a very good job) and grabbing us hot water for our tea when we asked. There was on site self parking.

probably the best place I’ve stayed in St. John’s. Food is fantastic.

Room was very spacious and well maintained. Stayed for 6 days. Housekeeping service was hit and miss. They did not come 3 days (we don’t expect linen to be changed or receive clean towels each day). But we expect the coffee for the coffee to be replenished each day, the small tubes of bath gel/shampoo to be replaced, dirty coffee cups and wine glasses to be replaced with clean one. Had to go to the front desk to request these things. One day they left a wet, smelly cleaning rag in the bathroom sink. Breakfast was good, service generally good (except one day it was extremely slow). We were leaving early on the last day, before the restaurant opened, so they said they could provide a take away package the night before. We had to follow up 2 times because it was not delivered as promised. Internet: signed into the hotel internet as per their instructions. The first 2 days the wifi kept cutting out, requiring us to sign back in. Sometimes we had to wait 10 minutes to sign back in. Mentioned this to the front desk, only to be told they would mention it to maintenance. Eventually I found a second hotel wifi site labelled “ext” (probably a booster) which worked fine for the rest of our stay. One would think the front desk would have mentioned this! It is a nice hotel, conveniently located. Just could up their service level à little.

We stayed at the hotel in the suites directly across from the main building. We were disappointed that the infinity spa was not available as advertised. We did have access to a large juzzazi tub in our room but it did not offer the same ambience we were wanting. The suites were clean but very outdated. A bar fridge was available but was noisy and leaked. We informed the front desk but no maintenance came to resolve the concern. We also required making calls to front desk to request more supplies such as clean towels. The schedule to attend to the room by housekeeping was inconsistent. Free breakfast offered was nice although there is a limited menu. The staff in the bistro were pleasant but at times limited in numbers which affected service overall. We enjoyed the location. It was quiet and accessible to downtown by walking. Parking a bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely return but feel this hotel requires some updated features. It truly has great potential as a tranquil setting. It seems the spa at the site takes all the glamour and the hotel is left wanting!

The kitchen staff were very slow but friendly enough . Other than that it was very good

Mini fridge broken. Loud sound when heater was turned on. No staff right away when checking out. Misleading photo. Elevator concerning sounds too. Was not worth the $400 for the night

Lots of wear in the rooms. The bathroom was particularly in need of some cosmetic attention.

Just a beautiful hotel. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. So quiet, you'd think you were the only couple there. The staff and food was excellent also. I've stayed at this hotel several times and can't wait for my next time. I would highly recommend this luxurious hotel and spa to anyone. 👍👍

We were pretty disappointed with the service at the Bistro. It took far too long to get our breakfast, the kitchen seemed unable to meet the requests of the guests in an efficient manner & were running out of key ingredients. We asked for brown bread which they were out of, then it was sausage & bacon, then they couldn't find the decaf coffee, they were out of fruit, etc., etc. The key pads to the room would work one minute then not the next minute.
