Wir haben in einem wunderschönen Cottage übernachtet. Nebenan war gleich ein Pool zum relaxen. Die Restaurants, Weinproben und der Farmshop waren allerdings 2,5km entfernt. Waren, aber mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Das Abendessen im Werf Restaurant war super lecker, ebenfalls das enthaltene Frühstück am Morgen. Wir würden die Unterkunft bei einer erneuten Reise nach Südafrika wieder buchen.

Check in process was not great - we checked in late but the keys to the doors were not working and it took over an hour for someone to help us get in.

We stayed at Boschendal as the first part of a 2-week South Africa honeymoon and we could not have imagined a better place to spend the first few days of our marriage! Our cottage was stunning, comfortable, quiet and luxurious. The breakfast provided was incredible. The service is some of the best we've experienced ever. The property is exquisite. The activities are plenty - hiking, horseback riding, wine tasting, picnicking, etc. This is one of the most special properties I've ever stayed at on vacation and glowingly recommend it to everyone!!

Tolle Lage, ruhig und guter Service. Shuttle von den Unterkünften zum öffentlichen Bereich sehr praktisch.

Ficamos na Cow Sheet. É uma casa de dois quartos, ampla e muito confortável localizada aos pés de uma montanha, no meio dos vinhedos. Realmente um lugar único. A casa tem toda a estrutura, até uma churrasqueira externa. Ficamos lá com uma criança de nove anos e um bebê de dois anos. Foi excelente. A propriedade tem segurança 24h, inclusive com rondas noturnas. A casa fica uns 10min da propriedade, uma parte da estrada é de chão, mas em boas condições, igual a estradas rurais no Brasil. Fizemos numa Corolla Cross com tranquilidade. O café da manhã fica na sede, e é espetacular. Na realidade toda estrutura da vinícola é muito boa. Além da localização, próxima à outras vinícolas funcionando bem como base para a viagem. Recomendamos.

Orchard Cottage and service were great. Food and wine were disappointing.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our trip in SA. I regret spending so much money on this stay. The cottages are all connected with no sound proofing. The retreat is popukar with families with small children , the toddler next door cried every night. By 6.30am both kids would be up and running around, so I never got a good night's sleep. When sitting outside you would hear children shouting, running and crying. I love kids but when I book a retreat cottage I envisioned peace and quiet and there was none to be had. The other problem with the cottage was a fruit fly infestation. I asked several times for a deep clean but all we got was a mosquito candle. I uses the bug spray that was in the kitchen, which helped a bit but than we had dead flies everywhere, including the fridge, which wasn't cleaned. The retreat cottages have a separate restaurant for breakfast. The juice, yoghurt and coffee are amazing but the rest is just okay. 2 mornings there was only 1 kind of bread but no tongs so everyone uses their hands to serve themselves. last morning there were 3. They also have croissants, muffins and scones. The muffins were hit and miss, some are obviously saved from the day before, and were hard and dried out. Fruit salad was tasty, I didn't try the cooked food so can't commend. Last morning the springles were on so no one could sit outside because the tablea all gor sprayed, inside was very noisy with several babies and toddlers, so hard to relax.

Absolutely stunning property. Comfortable and spacious cottage for the family with a lovely outdoor area. We enjoyed wine and food from the farm. Would highly recommend.
