Unfortunately not as expected. Needs a lot of work done. Not maintained and very porely managed. Well below expectations considering the price. Staff is sitting around on the cell phones or playing games on computers during working hours in the hotel lobby.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful position. We were upgraded to a room with a beautiful room overlooking the bay.

Very comfortably appointed lodging on beautiful small island in the lagoon. The island, accessible by causeway, is densely populated with beautiful houses, many featuring lovely gardens and the lodge is good spot from which to explore. Room decor was comfortable, but slightly dated. Common areas are very comfortable and have good views of the lagoon. Staff is friendly and helpful. The lodge's restaurant is quite good. Takes about 15 minutes to get other dining options in Knysna. Easy spot from which to go visit The Heads.
