A quaint little inn nearby Windsor Castle and Heathrow. This inn has quite the history and I was unaware of how connected it is to early London (1100s and 1500s). As such, the inn is very old and rustic but the vibe is very modern and local. The staff were very courteous and helpful and accommodating. The restaurant has really good food and local drinks (they even distill their own gin). We stayed in the apartment suite that accommodated our group of 4 quite nicely. It was very clean and the decor was updated and comfortable. Again, the inn is old so for those looking for a more modern and updated feel, it may not be your cup of tea. We were quite pleased with everything and will definitely consider this inn for any future trips.

Great night stop before a flight from Heathrow. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and good food and drinks in the pub downstairs. Will stay again!

Clean and quiet property, with an amenable staff! Great location to get to the airport early on the morning.

Lovely historical pub with character, nice decor throughout. Room comfortable, with large powerful shower. Evening meal good with a good choice of beers and wines. Breakfast good but charged for coffee separately which were poor, weak Americano’s Overall a pleasant experience

Phenomenal Inn by the airport with a great pub & food.

Good parking. Friendly reception. Room was clean but I had a leaking toilet cistern all night and the bed was so uncomfortable. Location for my meeting was very good.

Great quaint spot close to Heathrow. We stayed in the apartment, which was perfect for us and our 3 kids and we had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant! Check-in was easy, the staff were exceptional!

Great place stayed there many times

I needed a convenient overnight stay near Heathrow and really didn’t fancy spending it with one of the big hotel chains so we tried the Ostrich. Typical old pub, lots of character and history. Car park had plenty of parking space (remember to enter car registration on arrival ). Room was very comfortable with all we required. Staff were friendly and couldn’t help enough. For the evening we booked a slot in the bar for dinner which a typical pub menu and good value for money. We left early the following day so didn’t have time to sample the breakfast at extra cost. You may ask why not 5 stars Excellent on everything. Well you need to understand a very old inn has very narrow stairs, lots of tight turns, narrow corridors, doors to negotiate when carrying your holiday (full to the limit) suitcases from the carpark to your bedroom, especially when you are in your senior years. Definitely a challenge but we made it and it gave us a workout for free. Despite the later would definitely use again. Well done.

This is a hidden gem, especially if you are fly in/out of Heathrow airport. The rooms are beautiful with some quirkiness. The pub food is excellent, especially the breakfast.

Beautiful historical place Would recommend

We only had one night in London on our way back to Nashville, and staying at The Ostrich Inn in Slough was absolutely the best choice we could have made! From the moment we walked in, we were transported back in time—this place has been standing since 1106, and you can feel the history in every creaky floorboard and flickering candle. The atmosphere? Incredible. The ghost stories? Thrilling. And the service? Absolutely top-notch! We had a delicious dinner that made us wish we were staying longer, and the breakfast the next morning was just as fantastic—exactly what we needed before heading to the airport. Whether you come for the history, the food, or the spirits (both kinds!), The Ostrich Inn delivers a truly memorable experience. We’ll be talking about our stay here for years to come! Until next time... if the ghosts don’t get us first!

The third time we have stayed here. An excellent location for getting to Heathrow, yet a historic building in a local village. Food and real ale selections are normally good, although there have not been specials on the menu the last two times we stayed and on this stay, there was only one real ale, which was a special winter ale and did not appeal.

Arrived staff could'nt find the keys gave us a set which did'nt fit, gave us another set OK . Enquired about evening meal, they have had a busy Sunday lunch so they said they might something for us , but restaurant is closing early!!!

The Inn was amazing. Crazy old but in amazing condition. Room was top notch. Quick hot water and plenty of it. Beds were super comfy. Room was quite spacious. Amazing deal for the price!
