It's my family's first time in Baler and saw this air conditioned nipa hut available on our desired travel dates. We really wanted something new in this vacation so we stay away from hotel options. The location is not difficult to find through Waze. It took us less than 5 minutes to check-in! As soon as we enter the kubo (nipa hut), I felt comfortable. The ambience inside is not like you're living in a wooden house. The interior is clean and refreshing. There is a small living room/dining area where I think a group of 8 could fit. You can actually convert it to bedroom extension if you're not going to eat. There is a dining table in the middle and an area where you can cook. However, stove is not allowed since the house is prone to fire. We brought a water kettle so we can make coffee. There is also a set of plate, mugs and utensils that you can use The bedroom smells good and the aircon is very cold. I didn't expect it will be this cold inside. There is a bunk bed good for 4 pax. My 4 yr old son and I occupied the lower bed while my husband used the upper one. Bath towels, blanket and pillows are provided as well. I actually brought ours because I was expecting with the price, I will not get good pillows and towels but I was wrong! Aside from aircon, the room is equip with a wall fan and TV with cable. My son actually enjoys because they have all his fave channels like Disney, Nickelodeon, Boomerang and CN. The wifi connection is very reliable and fast. I also didn't expect to have a concrete comfort room. There is water heater, bidet and flush as well. The house is just few steps from the beach. There is grilling area and tent where you can setup your food or have videoke. Outside each nipa hut unit, you can find shower areas so you can wash up before going inside the house if you're coming from the beach. Overall, I highly recommend this place! I love the idea of living in a nipa hut with such amenities and just near the shore. We'll definitely be back.
