You get what you pay for! Cheap and reflected in the property

The photos were very misleading. This place was very run down. On entry, despite lots of posters highlighting no smoking, the foyer and many areas smelled of smoke. The lady on reception was very friendly, however, she went through several rooms on the computer before finding one that had the keys available when she checked. On entering the room, on the third floor (304), the window was wide open, the safety latch having broken. The bed base was broken and mattress very lumpy giving a very poor night's sleep. The toilets were down th corridor, like porta loo/caravan toilet units, with cracked sinks and no soap in the dispenser. I couldn't wait to leave the next morning. There was a stained pillowcase on the table, dodgy electrics and the heaters and hand dryers were very dirty

Ok , did exactly what I wanted

When I booked this hotel, I did not realise that the toilet and shower facilities were located outside the room. On arrival, the entrance looked very dirty and there was a very strong unpleasant odour throughout the area. I tried to use the toilet and found faeces already in it, which was extremely unhygienic and very distressing. Because of the condition of the facilities, I was unable to use the shower and ended up leaving the hotel without having a shower at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, this was a very upsetting experience. Unfortunately, I can honestly say it was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness, hygiene standards, and overall condition of the property. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Welcoming staff and parking is a positive. The toilets and showers are very poor. Doors on toilets don't lock properly, showers are very poor, no cleaning soap in shower or toilet or they were broken. This was on the 3rd floor. Don't know why I was on the third floor s there weren't many guests. Some guests I noticed leave a lot to be desired. I suppose you get what you pay for. This place is in need of a complete overhaul especially the toilet and shower facilities.

Lovely room for a two night stay , clean bedroom with clean towels etc , free WiFi , lovely staff , shops nearby including a Toby carvery

Room very clean and comfortable. Staff excellent. Downside is the communal bathroom facilities. Served our needs.

Visible bed bugs crawling across the bed, that our Team Member picked up in a glass and took to the reception. Nothing more to say.

It was great value for money and well situated for amenities and further travel in area.

Perfect for what I needed

Good parking, pub and food next door, outdoor shopping centre 10 minutes walk as well as the metro train station to the city centre.

The staff were excellent and helpful.

Basic but ideal for a one nighter

Clean bedding and the staff were lovely; they were let down by the appalling condition of this hotel (motel would be more fitting). Shared toilets and showers aren't cleaned often enough; the corridors stink of weed; the beds are held together with chipper board and are rock hard; the pillows are as thick as an A4 piece of paper; window safety lock was broken; TV came off the wall in my hands whilst looking for a socket; no door chain. All in all, it reminded me of a Belgian prison. If you're staying a night for the airport, its cheap and surviveable, but it is far from a hotel. Only reason we didn't leave was due to no other hotels being available. Will be putting in a complaint to Hotels.com
