People are very clean and and their service is really good

El lugar es muy bonito. Céntrico. El desayuno estuvo bien. La habitación cómoda.

The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The staff that I encountered seemed to be devoted to making sure that the guests were satisfied.

Clean place, beautiful pool, helpful staff. Quiet but right by everything in town

Staff was so helpful, especially for booking transportation and excursions. Felt safe the entire stay, pool and breakfast were a great plus!

Umami was such a wonderful boutique hotel. The staff was so awesome and giving. The hotel itself was perfect for my solo trip. The middle of town and a short walk to the beach or several restaurants and markets. I especially liked the fact that you could interact with locals and not only tourists and it was only a tuk tuk ride away to really nice beaches further down the coast. So looking ready for my return to CR and will def be staying here!

El lugar muy bien la calle para llegar al hotel , no me gustó .

El lugar en si es bonito, y tranquilo, camas cómodas y buen desayuno, pero, tienen un problema importante con el olor de las habitaciones, esto porque el olor de los drenajes se devuelve, y no es nada agradable, pese a que tienen ambientadores con aroma para disimularlo.

This property has beautifull gardens and the common areas are extremely clean. The pool was amazing and they clean it every day.The daily breakfast was great and with variety. Overall a great stay.

Schöne Unterkunft aber auf den 2. Blick sieht man die ganzen Mängel und den Zimmer und in der gesamten Unterkunft. Die Klimaanlage ist genau auf das Bett gerichtet weshalb wir das Bett umstellen mussten. Frühstück war leider nicht wie in den anderen positiven Bewertungen beschrieben. Deshalb waren wir sonst immer auswärts frühstücken

Excelente estadía en el centro de Puerto Viejo, un lugar ideal para descansar y pasar tiempo en pareja, muy tranquilo.

Boutique hotel that is central to everything. The spa is not a full service spa as you would expect however, the services received were great.

Excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The staff were fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend booking one of the rooms with a private sun bed by the pool for an extra touch of relaxation.

Wir hatten tolle 3 Nächte im Umami-Hotel. Die Anlage und das Hotel sind sehr sauber und fußläufig sind Geschäfte, Restaurants und Lebensmittelläden zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend, es gab eine Auswahl zwischen 3 Speisen. Was ein wenig gestört hat war die Hellhörigkeit im Hotel. Wir hatten leider das Zimmer direkt an der Treppe, sodass wir alle Schritte hörten. Genauso dünn waren die Wände zu den anderen Zimmern (wir hörten jedes Wort).

Umami is a gorgeous garden hotel! We loved our suites. The decor is just stunning. The staff is courteous and kind. Breakfast tasted amazing! We loved the rice and beans. The parking is minimal. However using bikes, a tuk tuk, or walking is the best way to get around this jungle beach town. Bring earplugs because the birds and other lodgings in the area may wake you up. As a Jamaican, I loved our culture mixed in. We loved Old Habour aka Puerto Viejo! We will definitely go back and stay at Umami again.

Starting with the Breakfast, excellent!! Their rice and beans should win a award and I am Jamaican so that is definitely a compliment. Best hotel in the area and you must go to eat at Lcangrejo Rojo. Caribbean seafood. Chef Larry is 5 star.

We enjoyed our stay. It's an intimate boutique hotel with modern amenities. Breakfast was great. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants

We were very comfortable
