This place is a special stop to add to your trip. The owner is the sweetest person I have met and she will take good care of you. This is not in town so you must contact the owner for a pickup. If you are doing a border crossing have your snacks money etc before staying. But to stay here and enjoy the owners homecooked meals, the quiet of the rice fields and the comforts of these little cabanas is a nice refreshing experience. As a solo traveler this gave me a little piece of "mama" energy that I needed to carry on in my trip. Clean and comfortable with lots of soul.

What a warm welcoming to this country! The always smiling host is fabulous in every aspect, incredibly nice and generous and a highly talented cook. Located outside Chiang Khong, at a stone's throw from the immigration office, Panna Kalong is the perfect place to rest after a long day ended with the border crossing. The room is clean and comfortable, well ventilated. The host offered to pick me up at the border and even droped me at the bus station the next day. I couldn't have asked for more.
