건물이 오래되서 그런지.. 전반적으로 낡았더라구요.. 숙소 위치는 좋았으나 일층 소파베드 벽 쪽에 곰팡이가 피어있고요 ㅠㅠ 가격대비 조금 비싸단 생각이 들었어요

Is in the center of the city making walking easy and quick, and fun! The staff is helpful, professional, and very friendly! The beds were very firm and comfortable. I would have appreciated the availability of coffee earlier in the morning!

If I can't stay at Soy Local, then I won't go to Cartagena anymore. I've been staying there every time I go to Cartagena and most of the staff are just like family. The only ones who aren't like family are some new employees whom i've just met on my last visit. The front desk attendants were extremely helpful, allowed me to check in early at no extra cost, allowed me to upgrade to a nice corner room that was scrupulously clean and the hotel is in the perfect location. It is easily less than 200 meters from the clock tower but not facing the courtyard so you don't get all of the noise. It's only two blocks away from KFC, three blocks away from Subway and a supermarket and around the corner from a pharmacy and Western Union. When my friend came down to visit from Barranquilla, the police were sitting in the lobby. I asked why they were there and she said to prevent adolescent prostitution. I was glad to see them and they stayed for the better part of the day she came to see me as we went out and about in Cartagena. The sunset from the rooftop overlooks the ocean and is beautiful. The WiFi is first rate and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The air conditioner got the room so cold that i had to turn it off a few times. Soy Local is my home in Cartagena and i'll reiterate that the staff is just like family. They have a competent professionalism that is unmatched.

Unfortunately, we have a list of grievances that made our stay stressful. When booking the room, it was not advertised that the room had no windows and no source of natural light. We tried to look past this, but then the power went out in the city. We were NOT alerted to the scheduled power outage, even though the hotel was aware of the power outage. This caused us to wake up in total darkness with no running water and no AC. We had to go down to the desk to ask for water to get ready in the morning. If the power outage was scheduled, we should have been given notice, a light source, and water ahead of time. Separate from these many issues, the bathroom also had black mold and caused the room to smell like mildew.

Hotel smells musty and room was too. There was mold in the bathroom on the bottom of the wall and the a/c didn’t work and window did not open. We saw a large bug on the floor. Last at check in was nice and checking in was easy. We opted to stay elsewhere. Maybe it’s just us, but we decided this stay was not for us.

Excelente ubicación.

La ubicación está perfecta justo a un lado de la torre de reloj, las habitaciones son amplias, pueden entrar visitas sin costo, no son las instalaciones más nuevas ni de lujo pero costo beneficio está muy bien, muy buena presión de agua.

The furniture(sofa bed) is very hard the beds are low and the mattresses could use a up grade not enough cushion. With those two things it turn it into excellent.

Every thing was fine. Clear location close to everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cockroaches in the room and in hallway. Ants on the bed. The sofa was more comfortable than the actual bed. Shower drain clogged. Great location but it’s very loud outside and I can hear my neighbors voices.

Great overall experience

Great location. The building itself is no bad but could use an upgrade. The room layout was great but we did have some small cockroaches everywhere and there was a lot of moisture. The bathroom was recently updated but still needed extra work. Shower head was broken and every time you showered it flooded the bath floors. Also the curtain blackout didn’t actually work that good so there was tons of light coming in the room.

The room was spotles and the location was the best in town being less than a minute away from the clock tower. The staff was courteous and professional as always and i have no shame to that Cindy & Richard are amongst my favorite people in Cartagena. I can't wait to go back!
