Perfectly lovely place to stay for a night or two, say for work trip or mid-travel point. It's not a luxury hotel - but nor is it a luxury price. Staff were very friendly and helpful, ample parking right outside the hotel. 10min walk from Vincent Building. Spar convenience store 5mins in same direction. Open until 10pm. Room was very clean, and had everything youd need, though it could do with a redecoration. Same goes for the bathroom. The restaurant "Reggies" is basic and very much has a late 1980's 'student halls' vibe to it. Food was perfectly fine though. There's a bar open from 5.30 to 11ish, but not always staffed because barely anyone in there, at least during my two-night stay. Anyway, I'd certainly recommend it if you just want a safe, clean, friendly place to sleep, expecially so if you're attending events on campus.

Can't fault it for the price to be fair.

I stay in 4 different hotels every week with my work. This hotel exceeds all expectations in a rare positive way. If there were 10 stars to give, I would give 11! My new go to when in this area. Brilliant place and great staff. Evening meal was low cost, well cooked and nutritious.

Breakfast was excellent the bar was very reasonable our only issue was the size of the bed we are used to a six foot bed and the ones there are only 4ft 6

We booked a room that was advertised as a double room, but after checking in, we discovered that the bed was far too small to be considered a standard double. It was more like a slightly wider single bed, and two average-sized adults could barely fit on it. I raised the issue with the reception, but the only response I received was an apology and that the hotel was fully booked, so there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately, every other hotel in the area was also fully booked, leaving us with no choice but to stay. As a result, we barely got any sleep. I spent most of the night hanging off the edge of the bed, making for a very uncomfortable and disappointing stay. Other than that, the facilities are ok. Dated but well maintained.

I really liked this hotel. It was quiet and the bed was super comfortable. I had an amazing night’s sleep! The staff were very helpful, if I had any queries, and the breakfast was delicious. My only complaint was that the lock didn’t work on my room door. I flagged it at the desk, when I left after my one night stay, and they said they’d get onto it.

Stuff were friendly, room was clean, it was a nice stay overall.

Mitchell Hall never disappoints. Excellent value, brilliant staff and quite simply the best buffet breakfast you will find anywhere. Perfectly cooked food, served hot, and hot plates available. Excellent choice and high quality.
