전체 평가 및 리뷰 Hakone Onsen Yuyado Yamanosyou

📍장점 -가성비가 좋다. 1박 40만원에 가이세키 2식+3명 정도는 잘 수 있는 꽤 널찍한 방+프라이빗 온천 포함. -직원분들이 엄청 친절하다. 작년에 이어 두 번째 갔더니 할머님 직원이 기억해주셨다.(저 키 작은 여자 혼자 여행객이에요!) -가이세키가 엄청 정갈하고 맛있음. -완전 일본 전통 목조건물이라서 전통 료칸 느낌 제대로! 장점은 이 정도로 간략하게 썼지만 10점 만점에 9.5정도 되는 엄청 훌륭한 료칸이다. 📍단점 -위치가 조금 외지다. 버스타러 나갈 때 7분 정도 걸어야하는데 캐리어같이 무거운 짐이 있으면 도보로 갈 때 좀 힘들다. -보통 하코네 료칸은 근처 관광지랑 근거리에서 연결되어 있는 경우가 많은데 여긴 외져서 그런 장점은 없음. -근처에 편의점이 마땅히 없다. 료칸 바로 건너편에 자판기가 하나 있긴 한데, 밤이 되면 주변이 가로등도 거의 없이 엄청 깜깜하기 때문에 바로 길 건너편 자판기를 다녀오는데도 좀 무서웠음..ㅋ -프라이빗 온천이지만 시간예약제이기 때문에 체크인을 늦게 하면 밤이 아니라 아침에 온천을 해야 함. 온천은 저녁에 해야 피로회복에 제격인데.. 이번에 체크인이 늦어서 아침에 했더니 그런 피로회복 효과가 덜 느껴지는 듯 했음 ㅠㅠ 그리고 아침에는 온천물 온도가 약간 미지근한 느낌도.. -가이세키도 시간예약제인데 체크인 늦으면 애매한 시간대로 받게 됨. 특히 저녁식사는 오후 7시 20분인가 그 전에 체크인을 해야만 하는데 그래서 늦은 시간에 식사시간이 배정되어서 식당에 가면 사람이 거의 나 밖에 없고 직원분이 '언제 다 먹나...'하고 나만 쳐다보고 있어서 좀 부담스러움 ㅠㅋㅋㅋ -가성비 료칸에 너무 많은 것을 기대해선 안 되지만 뷰가 딱히 없음. 그래도 상대적으로 일찍 체크인했던 작년에는 초록초록 숲뷰였는데 올해는 체크인을 늦게 했더니 공사장뷰 당첨됨..ㅋㅋ -완전 일본 전통 목조건물이라 방음 잘 안 됨. -치약칫솔 어메니티 없고(요즘 그런 곳이 많긴 하지만 1박 40만원인데..아쉬운) 온천도 다녀오는데 수건이 좀 부족함 ㅠㅠ -엘리베이터가 없다보니 무거운 캐리어 들고 내려갈 때 너무 힘들었음..ㅋㅋ 그래도 올라갈 땐 직원분이 도와주셨음. 단점을 훨씬 길게 썼지만, 장점이 개수가 적을 뿐 훨씬 나에게 크게 다가왔고 다음에도 또 가고 싶은 료칸!👍

가장 중요한 온천이 좋았어요. 야외온천이 정말 예쁘게 잘 되어 있더라구요. 식사도 저렴한 가격대비 괜찮았고요. 식당 직원분들도 친절하고 귀여웠어요. 아쉬운점은 근처에 버스 정류장으로 픽업 요청했는데, 픽업 서비스는 안된다고 하더군요. 짐 끌고 걸어가느라 조금 고생했어요.

참 좋았어요 저녁 식사는 정말 훌륭했고 메뉴 하나하나 입맛에 잘 맛았습니다 도쿄 여행 기간 중 먹은 것중에서 젤 맛있었어요 그리고 서빙 해주시는 분도 친절하셨어요 온천도 굉장히 좋았어요 처음에 온천에 갔는데 수건이 없어서 당황했지만 방에 있는 수건 가져가세요 추가로 타월을 프론트에 요청하면 100엔이더라구요 그리고 방에 있는 욕조에도 뜨거운 물 틀면 유황온천물이 나와요 혹시 온천이 부족하셨다면 욕조에서 따뜻하게 한번 더 하시면 좋을것같아요 일본 료칸을 간다면 다음에도 여기로 방문할 의사있습니다

Peaceful location, clean and comfortable facilities, kind and helpful service. Amazing food and onsen were the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended!

Fun ryokan experience. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff. We reserved onsen times at check-in (50 minute slot per day) and the onsen itself was wonderful. Reachable with about ~10mins walking from nearby Tozan bus stops. Would stay here again. My only small nitpick is that there was a small inactive crane vehicle on the lot next to the ryokan, which didn’t obstruct the amazing views but the views from the room window would’ve been more “perfect” without it. Still had a 10/10 experience.

While not designed for foreigners, the staff are proficient in English, generous, and accommodating. Just a little Japanese will ingratiate them to you even further. Westerners will be pushed a little outside of their comfort zone, but in a relaxing, kind, and easy-to-adapt-to way. Don’t forget that the onsen tax must be paid on site and in cash (¥150 per night when I stayed). The food is elaborate, delicious, but decidedly Japanese. The staff will talk you through it if you need help.

Hakone is a must visit area Our stay at this ryokan was fine, the place is super clean and tidy, super intimate and the personnel is hardworking The classic japanese dinner was good The onsen was private which was nice but indoors and a little bit underwhelming However of I was to repeat the experience I would opt for a slightly upper-scale experience

Stunning hotel, we were so excited to stay here and were not disappointed! Lots of space and it was nice to see a more traditional style room. We had dinner on site which was a great experience, we weren't a fan of the food but it was due to personal taste rather than any fault of the restaurant, the staff were excellent. The Onsen was fantastic, to have one to yourself and relax with your partner was really appreciated. We used the indoor and outdoor onsens and they were both lovely. Location was quiet so we didn't hear any traffic, although the building makes it easy to hear people walking around so bear that in mind if you are a light sleeper. I would recommend getting to check in on time to get a good slot for your onsen if you like to go to bed early. We went in March and the room was cozy and not too cold/hot, however the bathroom was very cold so something to be aware of. We only stayed for a night so showered at the Onsen before bed. The beds were cozy, not very comfortable if you are a side sleeper, but fine for back sleepers. We knew this would likely be the case and didn't mind this at all for one night, we were just excited for the experience. Overall I would highly recommend staying here, it is unlike anywhere I have stayed before and was a nice way to slow down after a busy few days in Tokyo.

The private onsen session was great. A little more information and instructions beforehand would have been appreciated, especially if you've never done it before. Dinner was very extensive and delicious, with many different courses and dishes. It would also have been nice to have been informed beforehand that dinner would only be available for an hour from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. because dinner for other guests would start afterward. We were then asked to finish at 6:30 p.m.

This was a great stay for us. The onsen was nice, the food was good, the service was great. If you come into the Odawara Station, there is a bus that drops you off about a 8 minute walk from the property. The experience felt authentic and traditional. There are 2 identical private onsens (with indoor and outdoor options), so although you can only book once per day, we didn’t have any issue getting a slot. The only complaints we had were that the front window had a light shining in the whole night and so every time someone walked by you could see their silhouette, but it didn’t happen a lot. I also need to sleep with a pillow under my knee because I had surgery a few years ago and unfortunately they wouldn’t (or couldn’t, I’m not sure) give me an extra pillow for that. But otherwise this was a great stay!

Enjoy the stay but bring some ear plugs.

What an incredible place to visit. My mom, my daughters and I absolutely loved it. It’s safe, clean and incredibly unique experience. All of the staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy this amazing authentic experience. Mats are comfortable, rooms are clean. The food is out of this world. We cannot wait to come back.

This hotel is very traditional Japanese, sleeping on the floor on futons, the private onsen were definitely the highlight. The bathroom in the room is very small. Hakone itself is a bit difficult to get around as it relies entirely on buses that are often delayed heavily from the traffic down the mountain.

This was a smaller ryokan so the onsen required appointments which is nice since you get the whole onsen for your own group or yourself. You might have to get weird hours though. The rooms were Japanese style and spacious but the bathroom was small. Also the bathroom didn't smell very good. There was also a kotatsu which was very cool to see.

Great hotel and friendly staff. But if you are traveling with kids, be sure to inform the hotel in advance to ensure that the price indicated covered the kids also.

Great experience and impressive half-board service

We had a lovely stay here! The bathroom could've been a little cleaner which is why we gave it 4/5. The half board is absolutely worth it, the food is incredible and you will not be hungry. The staff is very very nice and were helpful with any questions we had. This was the complete experience and we definitely recommend this location for anyone that wants to do the full traditional Japanese experience! The town is small and easily walkable. We visited Choanji, a true hidden gem. Lots of places to eat and many that don't open till later in the day. Also a few grocery stores if you need anything.
