Room was clean although some area in bathroom need touching up. It was satisfactory for our short stay & reasonably priced. Staff welcoming on arrival. Great to have pub next door to get breakfast & dinner when needed.

No really complaints, no lift so stairs were a bit of a pain with bags and room was a bit ratty. Loose loo roll holder, walls a bit grubby and the shower gave surges of scalding hot water but pretty ok with it overall

Good location and just outside Whitby town with easily accessible bus stops. Free car parking for guest. Food typical chain and overpriced and under taste. Room decent size but no lounging chairs. Tv not smart and too small. No fridge. Bed very uncomfortable. Shower over bath and shower curtain. Not for me.

Not a 4 start hotel, more like 2. Bathroom was damp and had hair on the floor. The whole room dingy. Noise from cars outside. Reception at the pub across. Lovely stuff I must admit. Expensive for what it is so won't go there again.

Lovely clean rooms. Very quiet, despite a road being close by. Food was excellent and a wide range of options at really reasonable prices. Staff were really helpful, the guys at the check in, bar and restaurant could not have been more attentive. A great find and we shall return.

Great location. Lovely friendly staff and gorgeous food

The hotel was clean and the room itself was large, which I appreciated. However, the furniture was very limited — just one small chair and a desk, with only a tiny bedside shelf. The room really needs at least a proper case stand or luggage rack to make it more practical for guests. I was also given one of the furthest rooms from reception despite the hotel clearly not being full, which felt unnecessary and inconvenient but often seems to be the case when booking through Expedia.

breakfast menu was ok but when i ordered a sausage mushroom and egg sandwich i literally got 1 egg 1 sausage and 1 mushroom on dry bread it was not good

We appreciated greatly the warm welcome, amazing service, and no problem too difficult attitude of the staff. They made the hotel and our stay the success it was. Truly exceptional. We had dinner and breakfasts throughout our 4 night stay and all were good and adaptable to our requirements. Rooms were maintained immaculately. The one problem for a large man like me was the bed size. We had a twin room and the beds are very narrow. But that was the only issue we faced and we'd definitely return.

Excellent customer service throughout my stay, from reception to checking out. Lovely big room with great facilities including a lovely bath/shower. Good breakfast including various cooked & continental options.
