Hotel booking was prepaid but Information held by the hotel showed it was payable by me at check in. As proof of payment would take me a little time to find and a friend was waiting I paid again so I could check in and sort it out later. Also due to a small confusion on the booking form the name of the guest was listed as my daughter, not myself (same family name) but this was clarified at check in with no apparent problem. A query was sent by me to app to request them to confirm to the hotel that this was a pre paid booking but the hotel manager replied that I had paid in cash for my room and they were still waiting for my daughter to check in (i.e. no refund was due). This was rediculous because the app booking ref was used when I checked in and therefore a second booking didn’t exist. The hotel eventually refunded the second payment but not after I had to get very firm with the front desk. However I really don’t want this kind of problem.
