This hotel has a lot of potential. Unfortunately a lot of it has been put into the reception area instead of everything else.
We booked two king rooms without knowing that they only have one on each floor so we couldn’t have rooms near to each other, which wasn’t a huge issue, just a little inconvenient.
A few of the front desk staff are really friendly but the rest barely make eye contact with you.
The room was a really good size with a fridge and a lot of plug sockets (though only two on one side of the bed) but they were missing some attention to detail - the sheets were visibly stained as were two of the four towels in the bathroom.
The breakfast is not great, there was bread, yogurts, cereals and some mashed potato and what looked like cocktail sausages. Paper plates and very flimsy plastic cutlery, and you have to ask if you want a bottle of warm water which they seem to guard with their life.
On one of the days our toilet was overflowing so we alerted the staff. They had someone fix it while we were out, but didn't bother cleaning up the mess so the floor was wet (with dirty toilet water!) along with the bath mat when we got back.
The location is great, it’s right in the middle of Koreatown and a short walk away from Penn Station and a number of good restaurants on Broadway.
Overall not a bad stay, but a little attention to detail would go a really long way here.
