The hotel is outdated with poor air conditioning. The traditional Japanese family layout lacked execution and was old and dingy. I’d never recommend the location to anyone, based on the price and location.

Our room has a nice view of the lake. The Japanese breakfast and dinner were excellent. The hot bath was a bit small. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.

Room, staff and food are exceptional.

An incredible hotel with views of Lake Suwa to match. A premium price for a premium product. The onsen (public and private) were unreal.

Everything was great about this stay. Beautiful hotel; nice rooms; wondering rooms for breakfast and attentive staff. And great location with views.

From start to finish, excellent customer service. Checked in at sunset, incredible sunset view from our room overlooking Lake Suwa. The check in process was thorough and explained to great detail. The food was regional, healthy and tasty. All around great traditional ryokan experience, highly recommended.

とても快適な時間を過ごすことができました。諏訪湖と山々に映る夕日は神々しく何度見ても飽きませんし、スタッフさん達の対応、美味しいお料理、素敵な客室は最高に気持ちいい時間を提供してくれます。

Fantastic stay. Room overlooking the lake was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and always happy to help. The included bus tour of the shrines was a lovely bonus. The option of the included meals was fantastic and the meals we had over our stay were outstanding. Would recommend.
