Absolutely beautiful hotel with warm and welcoming staff. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend- thank you all for such a wonderful stay.

We stayed for our last 3 nights at Why House and thought it was very special. Henrietta was extremely welcoming and has organised her staff to look after guests in a warm but understated way. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We found it very easy to get chatting to other travellers and met some lovely people there. The property is a beautiful oasis where we could relax after the hustle and bustle of exploring Sri Lanka. We saw peacocks, monkeys and lizards visiting the lush gardens and really enjoyed our final day just relaxing by the pool where there was plenty of shade. The food was excellent and all served in an open pavilion unless you wanted to eat on your verandah for more seclusion. All in all we thought Why House was stunning, comfortable and friendly. We enjoyed meeting Henrietta and Lettie the dachshund and would definitely stay there again on our next trip to SL.
