Perfect weekend getaway

Staff was great, comfortable beds

Very nice staff & room seemed clean & cozy. I did have to clean the heat pump filter as it obviiusly wasn‘t changed in a while and not heating the room properly. The shower & bathroom were also not very modern & definitely need some updating. We booked the double room and quickly realized how thin the walls were to the next unit. Not sure what was going on in the next unit, but we all we could hear was incoherent babbling through the wall the entire time (day and night). It was a little unsettling as there was no car parked there, drapes were closed & no one came in or out. I did not call the desk as i thought it would stop at some point, but it never did. It was a good location for skiing @ Pleasant Mountain!

Amazingly hospitable hosts and very cozy room! .... Bathroom sink took forever for hot water but the shower didn't and had AMAZING water pressure!

The property was beautiful. The only down fall was the retrofitted shower was rather small and we are larger people but it served its purpose. We woild definitely stay again .

The room was very cold could not get heat adjusted for comfort . No heat in bathroom at all great for summer but not so much as a winter stay

In my opinion, this is a nice motel with amenities not a resort. Perhaps that designation is disappointing some of the previous guests who might have been expecting more. My off season two night stay was very good. I stayed in the north annex and the room was very comfortable. The room was very clean and decorated very nicely. Yes, the bathroom was small, but it was not an issue. I had no issues with hot water as mentioned in another review but once again, I was not there during the summer when that might be an issue. You can see the lake from these rooms but cannot get to it from that location. I did walk around the main area which has access to the lake with kayaks and row boats available. A nice back lawn with seating and fire pits would be lovely in the summer. I will say that the building with the office in it is a bit of an eyesore. It is the first thing you see when entering the property and it has no curb appeal. I did not interact with any staff as everything was done on line and key was left for me which was very convenient.

Gorgeous property...rooms are basic and a bit rustic but everything you need with a GORGEOUS view

Great place to stay with an amazing view of the lake and trees. The front desk agent Riley was incredibly welcoming and full of knowledge about areas to visit and restaurants in the area. I can not wait to come back again with my kids next time during fall so they can enjoy all outdoor activities.

It is a very sweet spot with beautiful views and access to the lake. They provide all of the amenities a family might want in a resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds are a little hard, and the bathrooms are small, but it was perfect for what we wanted.

We had a very nice stay. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels clean, plenty of space for two. Two suggestions: the bathroom needs an upgrade and the rod to hang clothes could be more accessible.

We had a lovely experience. Except for the small shower everything was just right for a Maine getaway. The lake was beautiful. There were many outdoor activities on the premises and the porch overlooking the lake was pure joy. Thank you Highland!
