The hotel and room were very clean, the bed very comfortable and the hotel was in a good location to shops and beach. The only downside was lack of staff, the reception team made us feel like we were causing them and inconvenience when checking out and the lack of service at the bar was appalling we would have spent longer at the bar and brought more drinks if someone had been there to serve us. One member of staff walked behind the bar and our glasses were empty she then just walked past us and back out not even asking if we wanted another drink, it was very disappointing.

Tired 'club double' room in need of a complete refresh. Overnight technical breakdown resulted in no hot water throughout the hotel during the first morning. Note that the indoor pool is small (3 able to swim at one time) and slots have to be booked in advance rather than turn up & use.

Overall another good stay here, Mixed views on staff with most really welcoming and friendly while some are simply professional. Rooms are good but could do with some TLC due to worn paint work, window cleaning etc. Really good offering for breakfast. Overall good and would happily stay again.

Friendly sraff, quality food, recommend the spa. Unfortunately the hot chocolate machine was broken and the rooms were very cold at night.

Clean room including bathroom, comfortable bed, welcoming staff. Lots of noisy seagulls in the morning though, but hey, this is the seaside!

Everything was adequate for the price.

Parking was easy.staff polite.shops within walking distance away.the beach and sea only across a busy road.

The room was to hot plus we had water running through the pipes all night which kept us awake most of the night

All aspect were excellent, including parking and breakfasts. Only thing I did not use was the evening meal- no REAL fish dishes for Devon anyway. Near the sea give us FISH and a good choice of daily fresh caught!!!!

As it was the first time we visited this hotel we were impressed with its overall ambiance. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy and overall we enjoyed our stay.

Welcoming staff, fabulous pool facilities and the real bonus was first rate entertainment. Magician and cabaret on a Sunday night was a perfect way to round of a weekend stay.

Generally good and very suitable for us ie good serice/good menus/ meals , pleasent spacious rooms and hotel has a lift !

Lovely hotel, right on the waterfront and very close to the town centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel in a great position, clean rooms, it was extremely hot though and no air con or fan provided. Nice big smart tv in the room also tea & coffee facilities. We had a sea view overlooking the pier. Breakfast was average, they need to have warm plates though as the beans were stone cold when I got to the table but I think they were cold when I put them on my plate! Plenty of choice for breakfast that was self service. We used the swimming pool as well, had an hour slot that was pre booked, had to pay an extra £5 for this as we were only bed and breakfast. Overall pleased with our stay here.

Breakfast was not as good as normal it is now a help yourself buffet and the standards have decreased, not enough thought into it.

The hotel was dated but spotlessly clean. Really helpful and friendly staf(especially Andrew).
