Promotion pictures deceiving as rooms not great. Just a lack of care. Very pricey for what it is. Wish I’d stayed at a bed and breakfast as I’d have been more comfortable at a fraction of the cost. It was central which is about as positive as I can be about the place.

The rooms were freezing and when we informed the manager we were told that the heating was broken. It was about 3 degrees outside that night and they didn’t even attempt to give us an electric heater or anything.

Hello, we stayed on Saturday 6th September. Room needs a bit of updating, but apart from that an amazing hotel. The evening meal was just superb, my partner s steak was incredible, and the carrot soup starter is heavenly. Reasonably priced and great location, and the owners took time to welcome us Absolutely 10/10

A little gem. Had a fantastic weekend stay at The Smugglers. From the minute we checked in to the moment we left, the staff made us very welcome. The restaurant served superb steaks cooked on their charcoal grill. thank you Mark and Emily and all the staff. They are a real credit to your hard work in making this hotel a lovely place to unwind and relax. Andrew and Sam

The hotel is in a great location with nice décor. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and well presented, comfy bed. Very good breakfast too.

Very warm welcome very attentive food outstanding compliments to the chef best musili I’ve ever had and the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Everything was excellent would certainly recommend it and I also returned on my return home.

This is an absolute bargain - without in any way belonging in the bargain basement! A brilliant location with harbour and town centre on your doorstep - not sure how it is if you have to park your car etc. A quirky, historic house with some signs of wear but very clean, restful and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent breakfast, perfectly cooked to order, and a real pleasure to linger over. Grateful to hosts Mark and Adele for my overnight stay in Brixham. Would definitely use it again and definitely recommend it to discerning friends 😎

Smuggler's Haunt a lovely and unusual hotel just minutes from the harbour. Good reception, cosy clean room, fabulous breakfast. Parking is an issue but that is the same with a lot of the hotels in Brixham given the nature of the town. Would definitely stay here again.
