We are a family from southkorea for vacation. This lodge was so good to enjoy rural area's beautiful view and MS.Shona and her husband were so kind. I needed to find a good hotel which is close to hobbit village and that was why I choose this lodge. It was so nice to have this kind of experince.

The environment is surreal, relaxing, green. Just what we were looking for

What an amazing place to stay in New Zealand. It is closely situated in the middle of a bunch of great destinations. Shona and David were excellent hosts. I would absolutely stay with them again. Best, Kristen and Edward

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming - and we were even able to check in early. The place is in a nice quiet spot on a farm just a 15 minute drive from Hobbiton. Perfect location to stay if visiting there.

Thank you for being great hosts. We arrived a little after hour and was accommodated and given a small tour of the apartment. The property was clean and large with views overlooking the pasture and farmland. It was always nice and quiet. Appreciate the breakfast items prepared although we did not get to fully utilize it.

Very peaceful and apartment is super spacious and well supplied with everything you need to relax.

We had the detached apartment unit. It was perfect in every respect, especially fully furnished and equipped.

Excellent spot before or after Hobbiton

If you would like to stay at a working cattle farm, then this is for you, as you can observe various farm animals from a distance, and appreciate the peacefulness of the land. Closest to Hobbiton (15 minute drive or less).

Great place to stay that’s in striking range of hobbiton! Your only direct neighbors are the cows. Friendly host lives up the road.

This was a great place with several cozy touches. Great place to stay if you are going to Hobbiton.

Perfect place to stay for visiting Hobbiton, especially if you're doing the evening banquet. The studio unit was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet in a lovely rural setting. Breakfast items are also provided

We stayed in an apartment the size of a house! Pretty garden flowers. Large sized rooms. Kitchen with some amenities. Not many outlets and none in the bathroom with the miiror. There’s no place to plug in a hair dryer.
