Provided a good clean en suite room and good breakfast at a very reasonable rate. The hotel needs updating and the leisure facilities were closed but I was there on business and they provided everything I needed within my budget.

Excellent choices for breakfast, and Pat on duty in the restaurant was so hepful - nothing too much trouble. I have stayed at this hotel before, and hope to return again sometime.

Not a chain hotel. Staff are very good and helpful. The breakfast was made to order. The only think was the bed was very uncomfortable. Out back again

Really spacious room in perfect location with views of the lake. The room was very clean and had everything we needed including toiletries, tea and coffee. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The decor is a little dated but did not impact the experience. Would definitely come back again!

Friendly staff but hotel very dated.

Would not recommend staying here. First, I accidently booked the wrong month. I called 5 mins later to ask to change it, but got a firm no. I offered to pay the higher price I had booked vs the new dates, but still no. Fair enough. Got to the hotel; lamps don’t work, shower barely works, no AC, terrible breakfast. On top of that, poor service / rude staff. I’d recommend any other hotel within a 30 mile radius, eg Village Hotel, MacDonald Frimley Hall, Premier Inn, TravelLodge, HQAparthotel, etc. All better than this.

This property is quite old but our room was clean and bed very comfortable. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and very helpful. The beetroot wellington I had for dinner was really tasty. There is plenty of free parking

I was absolutely over the moon with this hotel. Don't listen to the negative reviews. It was an absolute delight. Anil and the Nepalese manager (didn't catch the name) were so pleasant and they were friendly, helpful and great at their job! And the cleaner with the red hair was top notch! I had a quadruple room for 3 people for 2 nights and it was HUGE. It was one of the biggest rooms I've stayed in. I was so impressed that the ironing board, iron, hairdryer, extra blankets and extra pillows were already in the room. Absolutely loved the wooden wardrobes and drawers. There is an old style vintage look to the hotel. It's not modern, but it's not supposed to be, so don't expect it (like the reviews) for it to be a 5*. There is a marble staircase and on the floor above, there is a really unique roof with a beautiful chandelier. And the hotel key was a gold bar - so impressive! THE VIEWS OF THE LAKE ARE STUNNING. It was so peaceful. The hotel even had darts to play! First day of breakfast buffet got told since there is less than 15 people today, there won't be a breakfast buffet so we would need to order what we would like. I found this a bit disappointing at first, but actually worked out really well, the cooked breakfast by the chef was EXCELLENT. The teas, coffees, pastries, juice, cereal, all unlimited. The second day, had the hot breakfast buffet and was wonderful. They also had vegi sausages upon request- bonus! 100% coming back again. Great value for money.

I spent two nights, my bed was practically not re-made, ironing board was left out after room service was supposedly there.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size but looked very worn-out. Only one bath towel when we got there, but to be fair they gave us another one and apologised about it. The breakfast was OK but nothing special. The room was cheap enough though so quite good value for money and we would probably stay again

The first room we were allocated looked as though the beds had been sat on, so we asked for a different room, and that one was fine. Soap and shower gel were the only toiletries provided and meagre amounts of tea and coffee were in the room. More was given on request and plant based milk too, which was great. We didn't eat at the hotel because as a vegan and a vegetarian, suitable food choices were limited, plus the information we were given was that, because we were staying out of season some services were unavailable. The Receptionist was helpful, though some issues (like how to get the TV to work, or the heating or wifi) could be resolved by providing more information in the room. Overall, the accommodation was suitable for the purposes of our stay.

Great hotel bit dated but a lovely place to stay staff very helpful breakfast was great overall a good trip

Great staff, terrible establishment. Tired, dead, grubby and desperately in need of a face lift in order to compete. The bathroom has heavily corroded and stained although I admit that the bed was relatively comfortable. No restaurant was operating when I arrived so they handed me a local pizza menu.

Very basic hotel

Room and hotel dated. Not many cars in car park, so I thought a room with a view would make sense as that's the photos used to advertise the place. My room was looking onto the car park. Food options limited, Guinness had finished with no more to connect.

The staff were welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake.

Let's start with the good stuff. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels and a great size too, not the usual handkerchief you often get! Massive bed, crisp clean bedding, great pillows. OK, so let's ignore the fact that the decor is in need of an update - it might be shabby, but the room was really clean throughout. Negatives? Central heating SO noisy, I had to wear earplugs to block out the background noise. And the shower, although really good and hot, is like being spiked by needles! Easily solved by a thorough descale of the shower head. Overall, great value at the price and would definitely stay again
