Lake side hotel where I stayed 2nights was managed as one of the budget hotel, you can imagine before nine am on Saturday there was no more mushroom for many people for breakfast. That shows that there was no good preparation for us. The

Pleasant enough place to stay, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. If I have one negative opinion to share, the place is showing it age

The hotel looks great, well maintained and impressive once inside. Our room had a small balcony with a view of the lake and was a well appointed with a large double bed. The breakfast included a hot buffet English style along with a selection of cereals and juices.

Has a very 70's feel to it. Clean & tidy. Rooms were nothing special but wete ok. Staff attentivness was a little disapointing. The man on breakfast was very polite, however he was on his mobile if there werent any guests coming in. On the day of check out, reception was empty. I had to wait over 5 mins for the receptionist to turn up. Smelt like she had been smoking. The waiting and the fact she had been smoking werent an issue for me personally, but I do feel from a professional point of view, reception should be staffed at all times, espically if someone is going for a break.

Although dated it was comfortable

Seemed a workman’s stop over. Which is a shame as lots of space and it was empty except for a few men in high vis. However the lovely ladies behind the bar cheered the place up. One menu - so no-one was in the huge restaurant. I would have ordered room service if it was possible. Expensive food/drink for setting. Really comfy bed, quiet and rooms were fine.

Easy to park, nice hotel. Good size restaurant and bar. Fitted perfectly for one night stay for an event at Farnborough.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, beautiful lakeside views, quirky character. Massive breakfast, clean + quiet rooms though dated

Many facilities not in use and very dated. Did not feel the cost reflected the hotel experience that was expected.

The hotel is OK. For a business trip or one night it fits the requirements. Breakfast was very limited and not worth any additional payment.

Food wasn’t very good very basic frozen goods had the fish and chips expecting fresh battered fish and it was a frozen donkey ear Receptionist when i checked out stank of cigaret smoke Won’t us it again

Very comfortable large sized hotel with nice clean large rooms - unfortunately gym and pool is no longer open, but rooms are clean and staff are very friendly , Good budget hotel set in a nice scenic area,,

I was attending a 70th birthday celebrations in the area and I decided to stay the night at the Lakeside International to make a weekend of it. The hotel itself is very unusual. The prevailing style is late 1960s / early 1970s, which you don’t see so often these days. It is nicely situated by a large lake and I imagine that it must really come into its own in the summer. My double room was a good size, very clean and very comfortable. I got the impression that it must have been refurbished fairly recently with a new carpet, bed and nice wooden built-in furniture.

Living on past glory needs an update

Meets my needs. Lovely view as always (requested a lake view). Safe and secure. Breakfast limited but lovely croissants. Only downside which doesn’t bother me, hotel is dated but this adds charm. Shame windows have internal condensation. Will definitely be back.

Nice location, room to an ok standard. Staff in general friendly and approachable. Room was not serviced however and housekeeping lied by stating we had left DND on both rooms. No apology offered and denied any recourse.
