시내중심에서는 꽤 멀리 떨어져있어서 좀 불편했습니다 객실도 간간히 버스가 지나다니는 소리가 들렸습니다 하지만 그외에는 모두 만족했습니다 특히 리셉션 직원이 매우 친절했습니다

I recently stayed at Edinburgh Marriott Hotel West, and unfortunately, my experience was not as comfortable as I had expected. The main issue was with the bathroom design. The toilet door had roughly a 1-inch gap, which meant there was a clear line of sight both from inside and outside. If someone was using the toilet, the other person in the room could easily see them. This was extremely uncomfortable, especially since I was sharing the room with a friend. We both found ourselves feeling awkward and uncomfortable multiple times when using the bathroom. I chose not to raise this during my stay because I didn’t want to create an awkward situation with my friend, but it did affect our overall comfort quite a bit. Privacy in a bathroom is a very basic expectation, and this setup simply did not meet that standard. After my stay, I contacted support twice and was told that the hotel would get back to me. Unfortunately, I never received any response, which added to my disappointment. I’m not someone who likes leaving negative reviews, and I would have preferred to resolve this directly. However, due to the lack of response and the nature of the issue, I felt it was important to share my experience. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and addresses the privacy concern so future guests do not have to go through the same situation.

A lovely stay in a very convenient location for our visit to Edinburgh

When you book through hotels.com you can't amend your stay, e.g. shorten it by a day, once the stay has started. So I'm out by over a hundred quid just because I booked through this crappy website instead of direct.

The staff were absolutely amazing! I couldn’t say one negative thing about them. Very helpful giving directions etc unfortunately we had issues with the cleanliness of our room and had to change. One room had what appeared to be blood on the wall. Very disappointed as this hotel is supposed to be a 4 star.

It was clean and quiet and worth the visit

Very clean, very friendly staff especially Matthew, he briefed us on various attractions. Food was good @the avenue located inside the hotel.

Great stay

The room was clean, the staff was awesome, and I don't business so, IDK on that one. I don't know of any shops that were close-by, we had to ride a bus for a bit or drive the rental for a little bit to find everything. It's close to the airport so no rushing the day of flying out. It was close to the main highway. That helped out tremendously when we left the south for Portree. The bus stop is across the street which will get you downtown, especially close to the castle in Edinburgh. The uber to get downtown is like 40 USD. SO its wise to figure out the public transport. They had parking for our rental, which was way nice. The only issues I had were sitting sideways on the jon because the toilet paper holder was jutting out and some horrible channels (44 of em) on the TELE, it was a pain to connect our iPhone so we never did. Also, I am lazy, so that's not on them. No in-house or self service laundry so probably a great hotel for business 1-2 days as well. Overall top marks and the price was competitive. It all felt pretty new. I would stay here again.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly as they allowed me to check in 2 hours early without any issues. The room was pleasantly spacious, however I did notice several stains on the carpet and the tv had been unplugged. Due to being wall mounted I had to ask a member of staff to help get it plugged in, only to find the chrome cast feature did not work and seems to be a common issue.

We were able to check in early and the room had clearly just been cleaned as it smelt very fresh. Breakfast was good for the price and had plenty of options. Easy access to the city centre via the bus and was able to park the car for free for the duration of our stay. I would stay here again if i was in the area. The only criticism is that the iron in the room did not work very well.

exceptionally clean room very helpful staff

Cool room! Comfy bed, really nice washroom. The only thing was the shower always got the floor pretty wet because the glass wall doesn’t go out far enough. The breakfast just ok, we came down and the food looked like it had been sitting for a while so we waited for fresh to come out. But the dinner we had at the restaurant was great. The gym on campus was awesome, really short walk across the street.
