Hotel elegante, aprazível, harmonioso.Chegamos fora do horário, 3 horas da manhã por probltcom o vôo, mesmo assim fomos super bem recebidas.Tivemos mais contato com Fred no café da manhã , um gentleman.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had the Amazon (luxury) room and it was great. Loved the bed ! Firm and really comfortable! Soaker tub and complimentary wine was also nice. Freddy in the restaurant and all staff were great. We walked to centre of old town from the hotel within 10-15. We felt safe in and around old town Quito. Previously we were in Brazil, so this was a nice change. While elevation isn’t super high (2800m approx) we did get altitude sickness for about 18 hours. We dint expect it so we didn’t take medicine in advance, but when we did, it helped. Breakfast was nice. Pretty simple but nice ham & eggs, etc.

This hotel is so friendly. It's a very small hotel that trips you like a member of their family. Fair warning, the single rooms that don't include breakfast are low budget. it's a closet, but once I upgraded (<$50 a night for the upgrade) it was a double bed, nice bathroom, and it included the breakfast (which is nice). The biggest thing this hotel has going for it is the staff! I arrived at 3am, and they knew when I was I going to get there, and they were waiting for me . They serve breakfast, and have a restaurant, but I never took advantage. There are some very nice restaurants within a block from them (get the lasagne at the Italian restaurant close to it).

Cons- Lots of street noise, big buses and traffic all night right under windows. No heat or AC. Maid came into my room even after I requested privacy. I didn’t like the food at all. Limited choices for breakfast. Pros- Freddie was very nice and helpful. It’s a beautiful renovated mansion. Historic

The staff were amazing. The room was large and gorgeous. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was hot and Had great water pressure

Great accommodations with a friendly staff

Room was very clean, charming and comfortable. Interior of hotel is quiet. Rooms on front are much more exposed to street noise during the days. Hotel was very accommodating and arranged for transportation from airport and on to our next destination in Mindo. Breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful and delicious. We ordered dinner one night and it was excellent too. Rooftop offers gorgeous views.

The property is beautiful...rooftop area to relax. Enjoyed breakfast overlooking the garden. The staff were wonderful.

The luxury rooms were VERY comfortable and nice! Breakfast was amazing and the location is perfect for walking the city!

The staff were lovely and helpful. The room exactly as advertised. Unfortunately the location right on a very busy road meant disturbed sleep due to loud traffic from bases and large trucks at 4 am.

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay. It is a small family owned business close to everything. The management is very friendly and helpful, anything you need they will do everything they can to help you. The food is equal to a gourmet resturant. If you have a special need or request they will do everything they can to accommodate your needs. Definitely the place you want to stay when your in Quito.

An amazing room with a beautiful bathroom. Staff could not have been more helpful. Freshly cooked breakfast. Wonderful view from the balcony of the cathedral.

Casona 1914 has a lot of charm and character. The staff went to great lengths to make you feel at home and to help organise tours and transport

Lovely hotel and wonderful staff

We were very happy with our stay at Casona 1914. It's a lovely hotel with Great staff and very spacious and comfortable rooms--and very clean! We were recovering from our arduous trip, and one day we just stayed in the room almost all day, and it felt pleasant. The coffee at breakfast was really good, and there were several choices on the breakfast menu. When it came time to leave they gave us a late checkout which really helped with our schedule for the day. We were able to walk down to the Plaza Grande, and there were restaurants close by.

I arrived on Sept 14 night, and the owner was very friendly. She was already waiting for my arrival. As my flight leaving for Santiago, Chile is after midnight, I was a bit nervous to ask the owner whether I could leave my luggage after check-out, she was very generous to allow me to stay late till I leave for the airport at 21:00 tonight. That really impressed me. I would like to recommend this long-history hotel to any travellers who want to explore Quito. Excellent service, comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, and reasonable price. Also the big dog staying in the backyard is called “Moto”. I hope I would come back again soon..
