The staff was very nice, and offering good service. The rooms were quite clean, but the kitchen was without any equipment. The food at the restaurant was fine, except one of the dishes we ordered (grilled chicken with grilled veggies) was dry and barely lukewarm. The beach was clean at the start of the day but got filled with garbage from the ocean as the day went by. Breakfast was very good! The hotel has very nice and calming surroundings

White Sands Hotel is a fairly large and truly beautiful resort. Not for a single second did I regret choosing this property for my stay in Dar es Salaam. The entire complex is very clean and regularly well maintained, and the same can be said about the room. I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room; however, the overall equipment was rather basic — for example, there was no iron or hairdryer. That said, the balcony and the stunning sea view more than compensated for these minor shortcomings. Breakfast was excellent every morning, offering a wide selection of local, English, and continental options. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices. The staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. A small downside is the presence of crows, which won’t hesitate to snatch a bite from your breakfast or lunch if you leave your table unattended outdoors. Weekends can also be somewhat noisy due to social events such as weddings held at the resort, which might be slightly disturbing for some guests. That said, I would be very happy to return to this resort on my next visit to Tanzania.

The white sand beach is beautiful but there were lots of trash swimming in the water next to the shore. They had beautiful jetty built that had a staircase going straight into the water but it was closed for the guests’ use, so we had to push floating trash away to get in the water. More than that, we were pleased with our short stay.

Beach was polluted and had a terrible odor.

This ist a really nice Hotel and the Personal ist very friendly. Only the beach was very dirty and it was smelling like a toilet.

Property maintenance was responsive but could be improved and proactive fixing of things before calls from guests.

So many things were broken in my room- the door lock, the shower, the phones, the window. It was nuts!

The hotel was beautiful from the outside and so well kept, food was of good standard as well as the service. The rooms looked dated a bit and needed modernising the shower door was loose and water came out when showering also there nowhere to go outside of the hotel, was very quiet the time we were there but overall was nice hotel.

The staff were amazing except at the breakfast my sister was not well and needed to have her breakfast in the room but we were told it's not possible so she had to walk to the restaurant . which was very bad.. front desk staff was amazing and friendly and the housekeepers were also very nice and friendly ..

The resort itself was nice, however it is loud and the service is extremely bad, waiting almost 30min for beverages when it's empty. The customer service was poor and only 1/10 staff speak English ( we are bilingual) causing a lot of incorrect orders. All in all it is absolutely not worth the 1000s of dollars we spent on it.

The beach had so much trash from the city. It was impossible to swim in the ocean. I am shocked that this hotel has not been shutdown just purely from health concerns.

Overall good experience and great rooms. Restaurant was quite slow to bring food after ordering so not great if you dining with children.
