The staff at Happy Days are wonderful, they not only provided us with a clean and cozy plan to stay, but helped us with many recommendations for the area and all over the island. Breakfast each morning was delicious! And the showers were the nicest we found anywhere in our travels! We really enjoyed our time at Happy Days Guest House.

Very kind personal and the in general a wonderful stay

Everything went really great! We had a really nice and well air conditioned room in the guesthouse, the breakfast was always delicious and made out of fresh ingredients and local fruits made for a healthy diet, the pool was clean and a perfect spot to chill throughout the day, the staff were always super friendly and sweet! The owner, Sabrina, was very very kind and welcoming as well — she made sure we had everything we needed, shared lots of tips on what to do around the island, where to eat, and some contacts to get in touch with in case we needed to book some activities. All in all, a wonderful and heartwarming experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at Happy Days Guesthouse in La Gaulette and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The guesthouse has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Its location is excellent, with a great variety of restaurants and shops all within walking distance, which made everything very convenient. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, with plenty of room to feel comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having a balcony to relax on. It’s worth noting that there is no lift, only stairs, but this didn’t take away from our experience. The staff were truly wonderful. They were so warm and welcoming and made the whole place feel like home. We genuinely didn’t want to leave. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with delicious fresh seasonal fruit and a French baguette that we simply couldn’t get enough of. The guesthouse is also ideally located for exploring, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away and many must-see spots in the southwest of Mauritius nearby. Overall, a fantastic stay in a lovely guesthouse. We would definitely recommend it.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war schlicht, aber sehr groß und sauber. Balkon mit Meerblick war ein Pluspunkt.Das Frühstück war super und das Personal sehr nett. Sabrina, die Besitzerin hat tolle Kontakte für Ausflüge etc. vermittelt und der late check in funktionierte Dank Erklärvideo per whatsapp super. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Dirty stained bathroom mats. Non stop barking dogs day and night.

Spacious and comfortable room with balcony and AC. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious :) Only downside - not walking distance to a beach (short drive). Huge thanks to Sabrina who let us have a very late check out at no extra charge :D

Great location, about 10 minutes to Le Morne beach. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday.

Das Guesthouse ist einfach eingerichtet, aber dafür mit viel Stil. Am Morgen gibt es ein kleines, aber sehr leckeres Frühstück, danach ist die Gastgeberin gern behilflich, wenn man einen Tip oder Kontakt benötigt. Der Service ist wirklich herausragend, Hinsichtlich Pool und Fitness waren die Erwartungen durch die Beschreibungen höher. Machte aber nichts, braucht man auf Mauritius eigentlich nicht.

Ideal für einen Aufenthalt auf Mauritius. Top gelegen, saubere und große Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, jeden Tag Reinigung. Nur zu empfehlen!

Dieses Guest House ist absolut der Hammer. Super Einrichtung, nette Gastgeber, 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zum Strand nach le morne. Ein Ausblick, der jedem 5* Hotel gerecht werden würde. Sehr großzügige Zimmer. Ein schöner Pool und Außenanlagen. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Vielen Dank an Sabrina und ihr Personal.

The owner (Sabrina) is very kind and helpful. Communication with her was very quick and easy. Very clean and good located. Many restaurants down the street. Close to the beach in Le Morne (5‘ by car). Breakfast was good, they had delicious bread! You can have dinner there, but the communication with the cook is a bit complicated.

Zimmer großzügig geschnitten mit schöner Aussicht auf das Wasser, Mobiliar in die Jahre gekommen. Auf unserem Balkon im 1. Stock Zimmer 7 nur eine Bank zum Sitzen. Frühstück für unsere Verhältnisse und im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels auf Mauritius nicht ausreichend. Lage gut zum Le Morne und Tamarin (20min) und nach Chamarel (10min). Auf Anfrage zum Frühstück wird von Gregory Abendessen gekocht, was sehr sehr gut sein soll (wir haben es nicht getestet). Gutes Netzwerk hinsichtlich Kontakte für Aktivitäten. Insgesamt eher Eindruck eines AirBnBs statt eines Hotels, aber mit sehr familiärem Charakter.

Alles bestens, freundlich, hilfsbereit, leckeres Essen, gute Tipps und nette Leute . Zimmer hatte eine tolle Aussicht und war sehr geräumig. Jederzeit wieder.

It was fantastic. We stayed 3 nights, but would have loved to stay longer. The hosts are incredibly kind and welcoming. The chef at the place is amazing and very kind as well. Therefore we strongly recommend eating dinner at the guesthouse. At last the room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view.

When we first arrived we were surprised that the room was not ready even though we gave a notice beforehand of our time of arrival. Anyhow, our room type was upgraded which was a nice plus right in the beginning. We had lovely time in this accomodation and would definitely recommend to stay here. Staff and owners are extremely nice and friendly, breakfast is great and you can choose to have a dinner as well for a small fee (food is 10x better than in any nearby restaurant). Location is great, less than 5min walk to a road where you can grab a bus to get around. If you want to feel like home while traveling, go to happy days guest house!
