Sean was the owners son and he was just great at getting you registered and settled in. He also made a wonderful breakfast in the morning. I would stay there again.

Clean room and roomy. Bathroom redone. Mattress not firm. Inside of house looks well cared for, outside of house in disrepair. Adequate breakfast.

This was a very cozy and quaint property, very conveniently located. Pros: The room was clean and very charming. Sean was kind and accommodating, he made a great breakfast. Check in was easy. Cons: Housekeeping was listed as an amenity, however we did not receive housekeeping. The host was hard to get a hold of when we needed something, but they were quick to fix the issue when we did reach them. I liked the vibe of the place and we met some fellow travellers when we were there. I would stay again, but I would adjust my expectations.

Only decent thing was the breakfast. This property is nothing like the photos as advertised. It is a character building but very poorly maintained and there is no access to a river on the property even from the run down sheds outback. A sad decline from its original glory obviously.

It's our second time here, shocked when AC is not working. The staff gave as a small fan, glad we survived the night. The internet is terrible.

Enjoyed our stay at By the River B&B. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Nice porch for coffee in the am or beverage at night and within walking distance to downtown. The only thing is that the TV did not work in our room as the network was not functioning, was not told this when checking in. Would stay again.

Pros- Breakfast was freshly made to order. Staff was super nice. Lilacs were perfectly in bloom and stunning. Cons- So much of the house is dirty. Flaky paint. Dusty window sheers that sit right on top of the radiator (fire hazard). Carpet on the stairs is old and dirty. The bath mat was clearly old and maybe not cleaned with each stay. There was a small stain on the sheet. The pillows were tiny. The street side of the house looks okay from a distance, but if you walk around the house it’s very clear it has not been maintained. We asked when the family purchased it- thinking maybe it was a new purchase… it was not. 2017. This place has so much potential… I feel sad for the house!

Beautiful room and home. Was clean and quiet. The host was friendly. The breakfast was basic and more like a budget hotel quality with hash browns from frozen, cheap breakfast sausage and over easy eggs that were over hard. Maybe I’m picky…. All was edible.

The Inn appears to be run by 1 individual who is a bit overwhelmed. Rooms were clean but it could use some updates. Bring your own toiletries as there aren't any offered at the inn. Breakfast is made to order. Omelets are full of onions. Meat lovers means an onion omelet and bacon on the side. I do believe that the owner did put in the effort but I think he has too much for 1 person.

Beautiful property in a great location. Only met the person making breakfast and they were very nice. We enjoyed our stay and got some great recommendations from other guests too

The breakfast was excellent and the jacuzzi was awesome! The room was neat and tidy and the bed was very comfortable

The property is not as seen in photos. There were issues with our key, the lock in the main bathroom, the breakfast was not tasty and there was no toilet paper in our bathroom and it was not totally clean
