Waking up from a quiet night's sleep on a comfortable mattress with spotless sheets and walking out to sit on Claire's veranda to bird watch each morning was the highlight of my day. A hamerkop, bulbuls and mousebirds (among 10+ other types) came to visit while storks, pied kingfishers and even African greys flew by. A monkey on a neighboring roof was seen too. All this nature, yet five minutes walk to the lakeshore lined with restaurants and less than 15 minutes walk to the Carrefour.

Amazing introduction to Uganda (again). Free and convenient transport to the hotel and I would recommend this place to anyone arriving at Entebbe. Claire was gracious and very helpful. I am looking forward to going back there and explore the area.

There is no airport collection. As this is probably the only reason you would choose it over anywhere else, best to avoid this place. I hate these liars

It was the best hospitality. I had a lot of luggage and I couldn't speak English well, but madam helped me the most. And free wifi helps travelers. The garden is large and the sounds of various birds are pleasant. Thank you so much Madam! I was able to travel safely with your cooperation. I recommend Colonial Residence♪

Very nice hostel in Entebbe. Clean, best service, beautiful garden and centrally located.

Claire was an incredible host, very warm and welcoming. The house was very comfortable with a kitchen to use, a main living room to hang out in, and a lovely veranda and garden. The location is also really good, at just a few minutes walk from the beach, many restaurants, and the Victoria mall. I would definitely stay here again!

The garden is lovely. Lots of birds and home grown avocados for breakfast.

Very nice place.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the Colonial Residence. My host, Claire, was very helpful with all the things I wanted help with. For example, booking of taxi, tours and show me the directions to different places in the nearby area. The breakfast was homemade and excellent. The atmosphere is very nice and staying here you will feel like home. Recommended!

Helpful airport shuttle service that the host contracts. She ensures her guests are taken care of.

This is a real gem. Its very colonial. The garden is beautiful and the area is very quiet. Only 2 minutes walk if that to the beach where I had a wonderful Thai meal. Close to the airport and the mall, Claire the host was warm and friendly. I can recommend this guest house and will definitely be staying here on my next trip

This guesthouse is a gem - beautiful backyard gardens, very relaxing. Claire- owner was absolutely delightful & extremely accommodating. The guest house is 2-3 minute walk to Lake Victoria. Literally right around the corner. Several excellent restaurants within 5 minute walk - i can recommend garden thai. Delicious.
