The location is alright about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff is friendly and carried one of our heavy suitcases upstairs to our room. The rooms look nice, but had dead bugs in the corners and little issues. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch closed and the towel rack fell off of the wall when I took my towel off. The shower water was lukewarm most of the time and very hot and difficult to control other times. Some of the wall electrical outlets didn’t work. Overall the rooms were spacious and looked nice. The kitchen and dining room was large and had dishes in the cupboards. There was a 5 gallon water cooler for refilling water bottles. Most of the hotels in the area had a restaurant, however this one doesn’t, so we walked to other hotel restaurants.

We booked 4 nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had a great stay! Property is gorgeous, staff is super friendly and helpful, we did some tours and a visit to Grecialandia (a must do!) in puerto plata and it was an easy drive about 45/50 minutes. It’s great to have a resort feel that also feels like home. Having a full kitchen is a game changer and the apartment was much bigger than it appeared in the photos, which we appreciated. Will definitely be back!

Unser Aufenthalt in den Ocean Palms Residences war in jeder Hinsicht ausgezeichnet. Wir waren in den vergangenen Jahren bereits gelegentlich tagsüber bei Freunden vor Ort zu Besuch und haben uns in diesem Jahr bewusst dafür entschieden, gleich zwei längere Urlaubsaufenthalte mit unseren sechsjährigen Zwillingen dort zu verbringen. Diese Entscheidung hat sich in jeder Hinsicht als richtig erwiesen. Die Anlage überzeugt durch eine außergewöhnliche Sauberkeit, die man schon beim Betreten wahrnimmt. Alles wirkt gepflegt, strukturiert und mit Liebe zum Detail geführt. Ebenso hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der gesamten Anlage: Sowohl die Atmosphäre als auch das Verhalten der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sorgen dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Das Personal arbeitet professionell, hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend – stets mit einem natürlichen Lächeln und echter Herzlichkeit. Besonders geschätzt haben wir zudem die Sicherheit der Anlage. Als Familie mit zwei Kindern ist dieses Thema für uns von großer Bedeutung, und die Ocean Palms Residences bieten ein Sicherheitsniveau, das in dieser Form an der Nordküste selten zu finden ist. Man spürt, dass alles gut organisiert ist und dass Gäste jederzeit in verlässlichen Händen sind. Unsere Kinder haben sich ebenso wohlgefühlt wie wir. Die gesamte Anlage ist familienfreundlich, ruhig und bietet dennoch genügend Abwechslung, sodass ein längerer Aufenthalt angenehm und erholsam bleibt. Die Kombination

Only negatives were that the bedroom air-conditioning did not effectively cool the room, the livingroom furniture is in need of cleaning, and there was no iron or ironing board in the unit, despite being advertised as being included.

Won’t stay again we only had one set of towels for a three nights stay and when we tried asking for more they didn’t have. Big water bugs in the kitchen!

I’ve been to several places and stayed in several resorts in the Dominican. This is by far one of the best places to stay kids in the pool, making noise like kids do other than that wonderful place.

I was terrified to see no facilities were provided.

Property was clean and safe. We would stay again.

Amazing location near beach, food trucks, bakery, etc. Surprised that no housekeeping was included but otherwise it was perfect.

Fantastic stay. Management didn’t hesitate to address our needs. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. Can’t wait to return for our next vacation.

Our stay was great. No problems. It was very quiet and safe. The pool was fantastic. The beach was very close and many options to eat.

The staff very friendly. Area is quiet & private. Transportation (taxi) can be tricky, plan ahead.

Loved our stay at Ocean Palms. It’s location was perfect! Quiet and had everything you need to enjoy Encuentro and Cabarete. Walk to the food truck market across the street (open at night), it’s very cool with great food and live music on Saturday nights. Stayed a week and had to ask for replacement towels but reception staff are friendly! Pool is great and lots of parking. Very safe. Recommend!
