Expedia listed this property as 4 star, other internet sites list it as 5 star. Although there may well be parts of the resort that are 4 or 5 star, my "standard" room certainly was not. Broken window in my room, busted furniture, broke tiles, power to my room unstable frequently going out. The resort moved me to a different room that was not much better. The power in the room stayed on, but still damaged woodwork, broken tiles, wires off security alarm on slider door, ceiling fan filthy and worn, ceiling vent caked with filth, just awful. And at the resort's steakhouse restaurant, when diners at the next table went to the salad bar, one of the property's stray cats jumped up on the diner's table eating off the plates, absolutely atrocious. I complained to Expedia that they misrepresented this resort as 4 star, and that Expedia listed the "standard" room as having a separate bedroom, which none of the standard rooms had. Expedia offered to relocate me to different lodging, but they were not willing to relocate me to equivalent lodging of an all-inclusive ocean front resort. All Expedia offered me were hotels that were not all-inclusive, not ocean front, and hotels not resorts. So then i replied to them that since they could not, or would not, relocate me to equivalent lodging, i would accept their alternate offer of financial compensation. After multiple communications to them, they refused to reply. So no relocation and no financial compensation.

Meal staff/ Servers very friendly, cleaning ladies not so much, not accommodating, come into the room in the morning to take the tip, then not come back for 4 hours to clean it.

Le Playabachata bénéficie d’un cadre naturel magnifique, avec une plage superbe et une ambiance exotique très appréciable. L’équipe d’animation est exceptionnelle, toujours présente, dynamique et chaleureuse. En revanche, la restauration n’est pas à la hauteur du lieu : plats répétitifs, qualité moyenne, manque de variété. C’est clairement le point faible du séjour. Le staff commercial, quant à lui, est à éviter absolument. Promesses non tenues et discours trompeurs laissent une impression très négative. Un séjour agréable dans l’ensemble.

What Made the Trip Worth It My goal wasn’t luxury — it was to escape –15 to –30°C Canadian winter and wake up to sunshine, heat, and the sound of the ocean every morning. For that, this resort delivered perfectly. The atmosphere, beach, and weather made the trip. Food I’d rate the food 3 stars. It’s not gourmet, but it was enough to enjoy the stay. At this price point, I wasn’t expecting high-end dining, and I think it’s important to be realistic: you get what you pay for, and the value here is in the location and the getaway. Final Thoughts For $1600 for two people, this resort gave me exactly what I needed — a warm, relaxing break from winter with great staff and a comfortable place to unwind. I’d return with the same expectations and enjoy it again.

Alexandria kept my room spotless. The staff overall were very friendly. The staff at the 24hr bar and the evening lobby bar were terrific. The grounds crew did a good job of keeping the beach free of seaweed. The food was good and tasty, and the wait staff was terrific. The nightly entertainment was also very good.

Hello Since we got there was a nightmare We check out before because they couldn’t solve the problems in the room and we request to be change to another room but they did not do anything about it. We also tried to move to senator and pay the difference but they told us that was nothing available . We are very disappointed about this location. We do not recommend it at all.

Room cleanliness was unsatisfactory (strands of hair everywhere in the bathroom on the floors and walls). Curtains had many many holes that let in the light from outside.

El hotel es muy bueno y buenas facilidades el problema son la calidad y variedad de las comidas, en ocasiones las carnes hasta crudas, mal presentadas todo el mundo tenía la misma queja. No creo que vuelva y no creo que lo recomiende.

La comida pésima y mala arroz la 24 hora no dan de cena vívere solo arroz y el trato del personal es malo te tratan diferente por ser dominicano no vuelvo mas no lo recomiendo
