Beautiful, clean room with a view and your own terrace. Breakfast was also great. Location was out of the city centre so with luggage you will want to take the bus from the port if you arrived by ferry. But it was Rosa, the host, who made it so special. She was welcoming and always responsive on What’s App. We ran into a number transportation issues and she was always helpful. Service was above and beyond. If you are unsure of booking this, just do it you won’t regret it.

The actual property was clean and was maintained well. However, no one told us how chaotic getting around Amalfi Coast would be and to and from the B&B. First off, taxis are extremely expensive to go 6 minutes up to the BNB (like $40). And lugging your luggage on the bus in the heat is not ideal, especially for someone like me with arthritis. We end up getting off the wrong stop and walked the rest of the way up to the BNB with no side walks. The staff was extremely nice, but there were soooo many steps at the property with no help to bring it things up. We would have had to wait in the owner but needed our things as we had to rush to be on time for the bus 😮‍💨 it was overall exhausting trying to get around and didn't have much time to really relax. The room and bathroom also is pretty small, but very clean with a gorgeous view

You are doing a big mistake if you dont stay in this amazing place during your visit to the amalfi coast. From the breakfast, to the room, the view and the amazing hospitality from Vittorio, Jada and their family. This is a family run place that dont just see you as a new costumer. They see you as a family member. Always available and providing the best tips to make your stay here the absolute best. Thank you for this time.

Matteo's House is beautiful! Our room was clean and spacious with access to an ocean view and breakfast was served each day outside with a spectacular view. We enjoyed the room and the meals. But, the star of the show for Matteo's is Rosa. She went above and beyond for us. Arranging meals, transportation, and making recommendations. She was an incredible host. If you are looking at this...book it...you won't be disappointed.

Joli b&b situé au fond d’un baie étroite et escarpée. Belle vue depuis notre terrasse (située dans un passage vers la sortie. On y rencontrait tous les clients —seul point négatif à souligner). L’arrêt de bus tout près et le coin est bien desservi pour aller au centre d’Amalfi (~2km). Peut se marcher (30 mn), mais les rues sont étroites. Nous l’avons fait et la vue vaut la peine même si parfois les autos étaient plutôt proches de nous…Rosa, notre hôte, a été d’une grande gentillesse et nous a bien renseigné et conseillé. Nous recommandons cet établissement.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Rosa is the best host we’ve had. From providing details of how to get there, advice for things to do and restaurant recommendations; she was absolutely brilliant. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone planning a trip to the Amalfi coast. It is around 10 minutes on a bus from centre of Amalfi but the buses are constant (up to midnight) and stop right outside the B&B, so an excellent base for the Amalfi coast. Buses to Sorrento, Positano etc also run nearby or from centre Amalfi. Highly recommend.

Rosa made us feel like family. The breakfast was homemade and fresh every morning. Truly delicious. We were very comfortable staying and Matteo’s and would highly recommend!

Amazing property, excellent location to Amalfi and to explore the whole Amalfi Coast by bus, but what really makes this place special is the service provided by Rosa and the owners. They take care of their clients even before you get to the property and after you leave. We have stayed in many places around the world but we would definitely put this in our top 3 ever.

The views from Matteo's are gorgeous and if you're lucky you might even get the room with private balcony! Overall the property is very clean and feels safe. Special thanks to Rosa who took great care of us throughout the stay!

If your are staying in Amalfi I urge you to stay at Matteo’s House. Just a quick shot on the bus to town center and the bus stop is right out front of the bed and breakfast. The view is amazing whether you are drinking coffee or a glass of wine on your private terrace. There are restaurants within walking distance of the bed and breakfast and the host had excellent recommendations on where to go. The room was beautiful and clean. Everything you could need for your stay. The breakfast was delicious. As far as staff I can say this. Rosa made out trip. She is a beautiful human being and made sure we had everything that we needed. She checked up on us, provided us with bus passes, gave us recommendations, and if we needed travel set up she was on it. She was even very kind when our flight came in later than we expected in making sure we could check in. If we ever travel back to Amalfi we will stay at Matteo’s House.

Wonderful experience

Rosa was so kind/helpful with recommendations throughout my 4 night stay and and even met me at the bus stop 100 meters from the B&B on arrival. The B&B is modern, light, quiet, tastefully decorated, and had a nice sea view from the large balcony of my room. I really liked the 2km walk to/from Amalfi (beautiful views), although I would not recommend it with luggage because of the narrow roads and traffic. Buses run regularly from Amalfi, making Matteo’s House a great option to stay somewhere quieter and safe for solo travelers, but still centrally located for sightseeing and day trips. I would definitely recommend Matteo’s House and was very happy with my stay.

We had the most lovely stay here at Matteo’s BnB and definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Amalfi. Warm, welcoming and very helpful service from Rosa who stayed in contact with us to make sure everything was ok all week. The view from our little terrace was gorgeous and we had everything we needed from the room including the best croissants for breakfast I’ve ever had!

Vittorio was extremely helpful with some of our unexpected needs. A great host, with a great knowledge of the area who offered many suggestions for activities, and places to eat. I look forward to returning to Matteo's House B&B!

The breakfast was wonderful ( from their garden) and the brother and sister that run the B&B were so helpful and went out of their way to help us with buses and passes, etc. They even gave my husband a ride to a pizza place to pick up a pizza when we were too tired yo go to a restaurant. Just be aware there is not a lift a quite a few stairs to take luggage up and down.
