Onernight stay on way to Scotland. Lovely quiet location within a few miles of M6. Friendly staff, clean pleasant room. Had evening meal in the restaurant which was very good. Enjoyed it so much we repeated the experience on the way back! Second night room was a bit smaller but fine for overnight.

Bathroom had some problem with cold air coming in, it felt like, I was taking shower in some ice room & not in a hotel bathroom

A lovely stay in a warm and welcoming hotel, which was conveniently situated in a quiet location, although close to the M6. We particularly enjoyed an excellent meal and a convivial bar The hotel manager and staff were all excellent

Small hotel with personal service. Excellent gin selection in the bar. Tasty menu for dinner and good choice for breakfast. Rooms clean and comfortable. We would book again if we’re out this way.

We got a lovely welcome when we arrived. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were great. Warm delicious food. Lovely cosy bar area to sit and have a drink. The only downside was that the shower didnt work. We reported this when we checked out.

Clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, very good food for breakfast and evening meal. Re. the latter, if we lived nearer we would be frequent visitors but unfortunately we live 250 miles away! Only problem with our room (room 1) was that the shower was pretty poor.

A lovely comfortable stay. Wonderful food, a great host where nothing was too much trouble and a great atmosphere in the bar. Unfortunately I was on business so couldn’t stay in the bar for too long !!

Very pleasant stay. Entrance to the car park was a bit restricted through an achway, especially in a pick-up truck! Only other thing is the TV... it's a bit old! The reception was a tad dodgy. Overall though the rooms are nice, the bathroom lovely, the staff friendly and the fod very nice indeed!

Very welcoming, very cosy ,great bed , good food and a good price.

Cleanliness on the surface looked reasonable, however, the sheets and towels had an unpleasant smell that indicates inadequate laundering.
