The staff were very personable and accommodating and friendly. Yes, the hotel was dated, but it was walking distance to the Stampede grounds, it was clean and the price was great for the amenities provided. The pool wasn’t functioning during our stay but we didn’t have time to use it anyways. For being next to a main road, it was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again when in Ponoka.

Well maintained and immaculately clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

Problem with internal communication. Because we were to arrive after midnight on 12/13 June, I phoned the motel around June 1 or 2 to explain that. I was assured someone would be at the desk even then. Someone called back that day to discuss this, again assured it was no problem. On afternoon of June 12, I was called by the Ponoka Western Budget telling me I had not checked in. I told them I was at Denver Airport, about to fly to Calgary, and referred to earlier phone communication about coming late. Again, assured that someone would wait for us. However when my wife and i arrived at 12:40 AM on 13th, door was locked, I had to call the phone, wait...seemed my message had not been communicated. Also, when checking out, we told staff we had not requested room with jacuzzi [and higher cost!], we were told that was due to booking via Expedia...which I don't recall doing, I thought I had communicated directly.

The property was well kept. The air condition unit in the room wr had was so loud we could not keep it on. And the beds are hard.

Could use a little TLC. The rooms were nice and big but the beds are quite old and rock hard.

We always go this motel because we love its facilities. We happy to see they restart breakfast service.

I was really looking forward to watching the final round of the Memorial Cup Final, only to find out that TSN sports WAS NOT available at the Motel. Other than that my stay was great.

Excellent stay!

Sraff was great especially the new manager she rocks. The hotel was very clean, the beds do suck and the hotel and rooms are very dated. They do not come in a do any type of room service no clean towel, no warm blankets. Hotbtub in toom was a plus. Overall comfortable better beds would definitely be a plus.

It was loud. I could not get a garbage can for my room. The beds were comfy and the pillows were great but the comforters were not. I do enjoy staying here and have over the last few years but this time was not the same.

Reasonable accommodations but a few issues. Firstly when we checked in we weren’t informed that the doors are locked at 10 pm. When we came back to the hotel at 11:30 pm we were locked out and it was a bit of an ordeal to contact someone. We were eventually let in. Secondly breakfast was pretty poor, very slow on refilling food items. You save a lot of food when guests leave because there isn’t much left to choose from! Hotel was clean but quite outdated, just saying!

Hotel was very clean, and was very obviously undergoing renovations to upgrade it. The staff was very attentive, and the service was very good. However, there was a great deal of transient activity in the parking lot throughout our stay, including people walking in the parking lot, drinking bottles of alcohol and engaging with each other in what would appear to be suspicious ways. Aside from that, the day was fine. The beds were older and likely will be upgraded during the renovation for the price. The hotel was very good. If they could do something about the transient people hanging out in the parking lot right outside our room I would’ve rated it higher.
