Casa das Lérias is a beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms, a lovely pool, and an excellent breakfast. The property itself deserves high praise. Unfortunately, the hospitality did not match the quality of the hotel. At breakfast, I was barely greeted and was immediately told to sit outside. When I said I preferred to eat inside, two employees discussed me in Portuguese, assuming I wouldn't understand. I do understand Portuguese, and I found it very unprofessional to talk about a guest instead of addressing them directly. Once I told them I understood, their attitude changed and they brought me a small dessert as an apology. I was also never given any information about Amarante or the hotel's amenities, and I had to figure out on my own how to get pool towels. This is a wonderful hotel, but the customer service lacks the warmth and professionalism I expected. With better hospitality, it would easily deserve 5 stars.

Casa das Lérias is a stunning boutique hotel that seamlessly blends modern design with beautiful views of the Tâmega River, featuring an exceptional staff, a relaxing pool area, and a prime location for exploring the region. While the morning buffet offers a fresh and delicious selection of high-quality local items, the setup can be confusing at times because plates are not visually available or laid out on the counters, occasionally causing minor delays. Despite this slight morning bottleneck, the property remains a highly recommended, tranquil base for anyone visiting the town or the nearby Douro Valley.

O lugar é deslumbrante! Quem olha apenas de fora não tem ideia da beleza interna. Tudo muito novo e de bom gosto! Café da manhã muito bem servido com boa variedade. A equipe da recepção fantástica. Sempre que forem até lá não deixem de ver a piscina no subsolo!

Hotel excelente, com ótima localização e perto de muitos restaurantes e atrações. Equipe de funcionários super atenciosas. Quarto espetacular. Só elogios.

Friendly check-in staff - very helpful and courteous. unfortunately amenities let this down. Stayed for 2 nights (3 people) but we were only provided with 2 Dolce Gusto coffee pods for the entire duration and upon asking, were told that we would not be getting anymore. 2 sachets of sugar, no milk, tea etc. No iron in room so we asked for an iron and were told they did not have any. Breakfast was good, with the hot options being scrambled eggs and bacon (which ran out at 9am and was not replenished).

O quarto não estava disponível ao chegarmos. Só nos permitiram entrar após as 15:00 e o quarto não estava adequado arrumado, faltando a arrumação do sofá cama e também roupas de banho para a terceira pessoa. No café da manhã não há reposição adequada das opções. Quando acaba uma coisa fica faltando e a funcionária ainda foi ríspida ao perguntar se haveria reposição.

Super hôtel boutique, service impeccable! Petit déjeuner incroyable!

A lovely place. Has a nice café as part of the hotel that serves pastries and coffees and is also used by locals. The terrace has views over the river. We enjoyed relaxing by the small pool and it was located close to many restaurants. There is also a free public car park very close by.
