전체 평가 및 리뷰 Volcano Hale

찾아가는 길이 약간 어려웠지만(동네 특성상 조용하고 가로등없고 비가 자주와서) 숙소는 생각보다 좋았어요. 비가 많이 오는 지역이라 습기가 많을것같아 걱정했는데 제습기가 가동중이어서 습하지 않았구요, 밤에 잘때는 제습기 소음때문에 껏는데도 아침까지 쾌적했어요. 공동으로 사용하는 화장실과 주방이 매우 깨끗해서 만족했어요. 방이 다소 작았지만 지내기에 불편하지는 않았어요.

화산공원을 아침부터 하루종일 보실분에게는 추천드립니다. 운영 사무실과 숙소가 따로 있어 찾아가기가 좀 힘들었어요. 밤늦게 도착하신다면 헤메기 쉽상입니다. 숙소 자체는 약간 오래된 느낌이나 하루 정도 머물기에는 나쁘지 않았고요..일반 가정집을 개조하여 숙소로 만들어서 홈스테이 느낌도 납니다. 여유 있으시면 운영 사무실 옆에 온천욕 시설도 이용하면 좋을 듯합니다

A very nice low cost alternative to expensive Hawaii. At night you can hear frogs, crickets, birds and rain drops which makes for a serene backdrop while sleeping.

Very convenient location for visiting the national park.

Unique old charm in a building from 1912. No issues sharing the bathrooms. Comman area good with fridge and cooking options. Limited dining options however super convenient for volcano exploring.

Old, finicky pumbling, surrounded by sounds of burds, bugs, and frogs that might disturb the sleep of some. Location to park excellent

The private room was very comfortable. The shared kitchen and bath were fine. It was a peaceful location.

Overall I'd give 4.5 stars. Great location if you want to be close to the National Park. I received a free upgrade to the king room on the ground floor, but there was a persistent musty smell, similar to a gym locker. The dehumidifier in the room would not work, despite the instructions to juggle the tank until the light turns off. I suspect this is the cause of the smell. Otherwise the accomodations were fine, bed was not very comfortable but worked after a long day hiking. Check in and check out were easy and there was enough space for parking. I would stay here again for the price and proximity to the park.

The house is in a lovely area, close to the volcano national park, which is what brought us here. Owner was easily reachable. Facility has lots of supplies for showering and sleeping. The reason for the 3 stars is the flooring is old carpet and in much need of replacement. Although there is a housekeeper that comes and I’m sure they’ve cleaned the carpet it’s just time to replace it. The only other issue is check in. It’s self check in and quite simple which is nice but the keys are left outside and anyone could come and pick them up and go in. My suggestion would be a keypad entry to house given only to guests then have keys for guests waiting inside. Otherwise it’s a nice older home easily accessible to the park and provides the basic necessities in bath, kitchen and bedrooms.

Good location near the Volcano National Park, quiet pleasant stay in a historic property.

So clean and peaceful. Perfect for a place to rest after a day of hiking the island.

Unique experience, a stay at an old Hawaiian house we had to ourselves. Old and quaint but in good condition. Very convenient for visiting Volcanoes NP and a few dining options nearby.

There is a lot of noise, but it’s the sounds of beautiful birds chirping . The neighborhood felt safe and tranquil.
