We arrived on a very miserable wet Friday evening and got a great warm welcome to the hotel: thank you. We stayed in room 1 which is up in the attic: a lovely quirky room that was very quiet and comfortable, though you do need to mind your head as you move around the room. We didn’t realise when we chose this room that the room’s bathroom was downstairs: this was okay but we may have chosen differently had we known.
The public spaces in the hotel were comfortable and welcoming but the general decor throughout needs refreshing as some of the paintwork has become grubby.
The hotel has WiFi but it doesn’t reach through the whole building: the availability of decent WiFi in a hotel is, these days, really a basic requirement, and not a luxury. There is definitely an urgent need to address this in this hotel.
