The hotel is beautiful with great service very clean and in a great location

I got food poisoning after eating a club sandwich by the pool. The staff didn’t care about it when I told them!

Lovely modern, clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfasts and great pools, very relaxing break.

Stunning hotel, very comfortable and quiet room with a beautiful view of the sea. Lovely pool, gym and sauna. Great location, 25 mins walk to the old town and 5 mins to some lovely bars and restaurants. The only let down was the staff really…they were the least friendly we came across in Madeira. We were not impressed with the service fee that was automatically added to every bill considering the poor level of service. The friendliest member of staff we came across was the guy that was on reception when we checked out at 3am! Also the drinks weren’t very nice and were very expensive.

**Unacceptable Experience with Ant Infestation and Staff Attitude** I recently stayed at the Next Savoy Hotel and was deeply disappointed by the experience. Over the course of three days, I repeatedly informed the hotel staff about an ant infestation in my room. Ants were crawling on the bed, floor, kitchen table, and kitchen area. Despite notifying them multiple times, the response I received was shockingly dismissive. One staff member openly admitted, "We get this complaint a lot, I’ll be honest there’s nothing we can do but clean your room again." This is unacceptable—repeated cleaning without addressing the root of the problem does not resolve the issue. To make matters worse, another staff member implied that we also have ants in our home. This insinuation was both offensive and unprofessional. As paying guests, we expect a clean and comfortable environment, not judgment or excuses. At a Marriott or Hyatt property we would atleast be offered a new room.

Mooi modern hotel met grote kamers en top service. Ook leuke gagdets zoals deur bediening via je telefoon. Jammer dat de koelkast het niet deed, ook nadat we dit gemeld hadden. Centrum te voet bereikbaar en parkeren kan in de parkeergarage aan de overkant in ander savoy hotel. Kortom, een echte aanrader!

Most of the staff here were disinterested and unfriendly

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, es war sauber und das Frühstück war auch toll. Leider war es abends etwas laut und hellhörig.

Schönes, sauberes Hotel mit Blick auf den Hafen. Altstadt zu Fuß in ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Super Lage!!!

The Hotel was excellent, the staff at Reception were very helpful as were the Cleaning Staff.

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Loved having pools, gyms, sev. restaurants & bars, garden across the street. If I return to Funchal I would choose to stay here again.

recently stayed at this hotel and appreciated its excellent location—very convenient to nearby restaurants, shopping areas, and key attractions. However, I was disappointed by the overall atmosphere. The staff did not come across as warm or welcoming, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the pool appeared green, likely due to the yellow tiling, which was a bit off-putting. While the convenience of the location was a definite plus, the hospitality and maintenance could use improvement.

Hotel novo, bem decorado, isolamento acústico ótimo, café da manhã com boas opções. Pontos que achei que podiam ser melhores: chuveiro fica no quarto, o que pode ser um problema de privacidade para quem não viaja em casal, além disso, não havia porta, então passei frio. O secador de cabelo era ridículo, as mesas do restaurante eram de, pelo menos, 4 pessoas, sendo que a maioria estava em casal, ou seja, gerava filas desnecessárias. Se tivessem mesas para casais otimizariam mais. Fora isso, faltou uma piscina aquecida/spa. Estava frio em Funchal e não pudemos usufruir das piscinas externas super geladas.
