As former New Yorkers we were excited to find 17 John with such beautifully designed rooms with tons of space and kitchen! The room we selected was larger than most studio apartments in the city. We soon discovered the operations and hospitality did not match the talented design firm hired to design their rooms. Entering our room we were taken back by the large chunks of plastic missing from the windows sills. One wall appeared to have been repaired a multitude of times but each time repaired with a different shade of white. Other repairs were just plaster slapped into holes in the wall. The most disappointing was the bathroom, the shower did not have a curtain and as a result water would splash on to the wall and puddle by the door way, the water never seemed to dry up.. this I’m am sure has been happening for a while judging from the decay in the plaster. In regard to service, there was typically one person at the front desk, all of which seemed more akin to a doorman of an office building than a hotel. There was an overall lack of hospitality training and feeling of luxury and service that the online images portray.

The best kept secret in FiDi! The place was huge and very well appointed. Can’t wait to go back.

Top Lage im Financial District. Der Zustand der Wohnung war gut, alles was man benötigt ist vorhanden. Die Schlafcouch war von der Qualität und der Sauberkeit nicht so gut, aber das ist auch der einzige Kritikpunkt. Die Kommunikation mit der Unterkunft war hervorragend. Auf Grund der sehr guten Lage absolut zu empfehlen.

Clean, spacious, and well equipped, this is a great property I highly recommend!

Great stay!

I’ve stayed here many times over the last 5 years often for a week or two at a time while the property was under different management. When the AC stopped working and the room temp climbed to 82F I expected some help. While my email communication got quick answers, I spent two sweaty nights (the windows barely open), and no offer to change rooms or otherwise provide relief despite my requests. I’ve made repeated requests to management, but now that I’ve checked out am being ghosted. The problem with these apart hotel places is when something goes wrong it feels like no one is around to help.

It was a prefect place for a family vacation… the hotel is great, calm, very friendly and well equipped. A special thanks to the team, very welcoming.

Great property and locations

There was a lot of construction noise from hotel work being done during the day while I was staying. The lighting really could have been better in the room, even with all the lights on it was dim and the top bolt on my door didn't work. Overall it was a really great room, clean, large, easy to use, and a great location with the subway on the corner of the same block. Target and Whole Foods are within walking distance, as is the Brooklyn Bridge,

Great room- lots of light and comfortable. Everything you needed for a great stop in NYC!

My family- 2 kids /2 adults stayed in the King executive. It was perfect. Having a “2nd” bedroom was great. Anna at the front desk was amazing and so helpful! Definitely will be staying again!

Got the wrong room and they relocated us only the next day at 4pm. It took us more than 4 calls and they tried to let us stay in the smaller room that we did not book. Not pro-active. Didn‘t offer to pay back the difference, only a ‚late‘ checkout at 2pm even when we asked for payback. Room was clean and the bed good.

Property was clean and well looked after, had a few issues with lighting and heating but this was fixed promptly after speaking with reception. Rachel was lovely and communication was top tier would definitely stay again although be aware that rooms are not soundproof and you can here the going ons from the street below can be quite loud at times

Required us to wash our own towels instead of providing us with new ones. I was paying over $1,000 for a few days stay and they can't give us extra towels? Worse yet the laundry room is super busy with everyone having to wash their own towels & linens so I spent 3+ hours of my vacation doing laundry. My TV didn't work and they were unhelpful about fixing it. Overall I wouldnt stay here again. Nice amount of space but it's not worth staying somewhere that doesn't provide hotel services!

Great wifi for remote working and desk setup. Loved the location. This is a hotel/airbnb hybrid so they didn’t have the cleaning services of a typical hotel. Someone was at the front desk at all times.

This was an amazing stay.

Beautiful space

front desk were super helpful and polite. room was freshly organized and clean prior to checking in! can’t wait to come back to NYC and book here!
