Really enjoyable stay, helpful staff and nice hotel

A small newly renovated room . Comfortable bed. Lovely indoor pool but very busy , they need to introduce swimming times. Did not try outdoor pool as weather not brill . Need a lift .

Amazing stay for the Easter weekend. The staff were faultless, impecably trained, discrete and very effective. The property was in good condition. Food and service were amazing. Having stayed in hotels all over the world at all star ratings this hotel proves you can still deliver amazing service for a more reasonable price. One of few, anywhere i would return to.

Great staff and excellent facilities

Only had time for the gym and sauna- both very clean. My room was spotless. This is a really good hotel

Good hotel, comfy room, friendly helpful staff. However, I booked through hotels.com they wouldn't give me a receipt because I hadn't booked with them direct. Strange because I get a receipt everywhere else I book with hotels.com. My credit card statement shows that The Barnstaple Hotel had taken the money too! Just be aware if you are on a business trip and need a receipt for your expenses.

Good room comfortable bed. Bathroom very damp no ventilation. Front desk support for additional support without paying was very disappointing

Sorry didnt make breakfast but the evening meal of roast beef on 1st January was lovely. Staff were attentive and helpful and very good natured.

Quirky place but spotlessly clean with a great leisure area. Room was a little stuffy but the windows opened and a fan was provided.

Welcoming helpful staff. Nice room. Quiet despite being advised in advance that there was a chance of some noise due to Christmas functions.

Excellent hotel , the staff were welcoming, room was very clean and comfortable great facilities including Excellent gym and swimming pool , parking etc and the restaurant food and breakfast was the best i have ever had in any hotel. Really enjoyed my stay
