Gorgeous historical building. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The included breakfast was special too. Highly recommend this property as long as you can manage stairs. Easy walk to the harbour area and Fisherman’s Whatf.

Gorgeous Property, But Loretto’s Loft Is Not Worth the Price Pendray Inn is a beautiful historic building with lush gardens and a lovely dining experience overlooking the harbor. Staff were kind, and most rooms seem charming. However, I had a deeply disappointing experience staying in the “Comfort Double Room,” also called Loretto’s Loft. This room is a converted attic space split almost 1:1 between bathroom and bedroom. The result is a long, narrow bedroom with a sharply sloped ceiling, making nearly half the space unusable. When lying in bed, your head is less than 20 cm from the ceiling. It feels cramped, awkward, and easy to bump your head even while seated. There’s also no proper desk or table — a basic expectation in a room costing over $300–$400 per night. The bathroom is surprisingly large, making the imbalance even more noticeable. Worse, the furnishings feel cheap and out of place compared to the inn’s otherwise elegant decor. The mattress was one of the least comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a Canadian hotel — not even close to the standard you’d expect for this price range. Overall, this room feels like a hastily added space, not in line with the rest of the inn. It simply does not justify the price.

We have stayed at Pendray a few times and our stay is always lovely. The check in staff are wonderful, the room charming, breakfast delish and relaxed. It is also a convenient walk to the ferry and downtown Victoria.

Best B&B in Victoria. We came in a cruise from LA and it was perfect in every way. We hope to come again if we are in the area again.

Nice historic hotel. Really love the English tea breakfast! Nice touch with the welcome wine and tea drinks.

This place was incredible!!! I had never been to Victoria and had no idea how convenient it would be ! It was beyond amazing- everything you would hope for in a historic old inn! Now beyond this, the breakfast each morning was beyond anything I hoped for! Please don’t hesitate if you are thinking about booking! ❤️

Wonderful place! Very well located. Super friendly staff. We enjoyed every moment in this property.

Wonderful staff. Ren answered all our questions while we had a whiskey tasting. He made us feel right at home. Room was very comfortable and lovely. We were welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine which we drank on our balcony overlooking the inner harbor. Breakfast was amazing! Can't wait to return!

Wonderful breakfasts. Prime location. Nice and quiet. Great staff. The old building was very cool. I’d highly recommend. And I will most definitely will be returning one day!
