Shower was backed-up. Maintaining the style of the original house was an interesting touch and made for a unique experience.

The house was very quaint. It is old, so it makes a lot of old house noises, and you can hear everyone else in the house talking and moving around. Other guests did not respect the “quiet hours” so it was difficult to sleep. The bed was older as well. Breakfast is make what you can find in the fridge and from what is on the counters.

Very welcoming, with food available in the fridge and comfortable common living space. Noisy at night, could hear person in the room above us snoring.

This is a former Postmans Station House near Borgarnes. Lovingly renovated according to plans and photos. I was the only one there and I loved everything about it! The breakfast was self-serve and abundant. There is a Bonus and Netto in town if you want to make your own dinner. Be aware there is no microwave. My room included an enSuite, a table and chairs, and multiple beds (I only used the single twin). I spend three nights, which was enough to go to explore the area and take a few hikes. Loved staying here!

Unique and memorable stay in the old postman’s house. Each room had its own charm, and the host (who was super lovely during our check in) was nice enough to upgrade us to a room with a private bathroom. It’s only a short drive from the west peninsula and Borgarnes, and would highly recommend for anyone driving through the area.

Uns hat die Unterkunft sehr gefallen, irgendwo im Nirgendwo, mitten in der Natur.Wenn man das alte Album anschaut, sieht man, mit wieviel Herzblut renoviert und eingerichtet wurde, der Flair des alten Hauses wurde erhalten mit super Betten. Natürlich knarrt da mal die Diele und die Türen schließen lauter, aber das weiß man bei der Buchung. Die Gastgeberin Anna hat an alles gedacht, wer sich hier nicht wohl fühlt ist selber schuld. Der Kühlschrank war reichlich gefüllt, alles zur Nutzung für das Selfmade Frühstück, wir konnten uns sogar Rührei machen.. Liebe Anna, nochmals vielen Dank für den wundervollen Aufenthalt und weiterhin viele Gäste, die den Charme dieser besonderen Unterkunft verstehen.

Struttura molto bella

Checkin was quick. Access to shared kitchen was nice room was small but cozy. Bed very comfortable. Perfect for our one night stop over. Nice to have two shared bathrooms with showers.

Incredibly cute house and very nice property. Nice to have access to kitchen and dining area. It is however an incredibly old house, which means you can hear everything - made us very aware of any noise we made - talking, walking, etc. Very glad we stayed here as was a very unique property, just something to keep in mind as felt very aware of any sounds we made.

The place was amazing and only a short drive to Borgarnes. Anna was an amazing host. She even helped us to see the Aurora! ❤️🥰

We loved this place. We were able to see the northern lights from our bed through the window. Everything is so well preserved and curated. Breakfast is better than the picture because you can also take things from the fridge like eggs, yogurt, cheeses, juices, etc. Keep in mind that it's a self service house so you won't have anyone to immediately support in case anything pops up but the owner will share her number once you book.

Beautiful, quiet space. There were a plethora of breakfast options. An excellent space to see the Northern lights. Anna was very thoughtful with the icelandic sweaters (soooo warm!!) And slippers. Fantastic stay

房子內部為木製2層樓，走路難免會有聲響。入住時會將鑰匙掛在牆上，找尋對應的房間名字。房間很幸運被安排在1樓，不用拖著的行李上下樓真是太好了。早餐提供自助式吐司果醬蛋起司火腿果汁，很簡單卻也很豐盛，自己用完再將盤子杯子清洗乾淨放回。

We chose this location for access to Snæfellsbær Peninsula and price. An old farmhouse converted so the rooms are small and the floors creak with age. The house has great character. Kitchen is well equipped with basics and the breakfast provided (help and make yourself) was varied and plentiful. Beds were comfortable. Great for a short stay. We stayed two nights.

Sehr sehr gut! Niedliche Zimmer. Bad klein und sauber. Das Frühstück ist Self Service und man kann sich bedienen. Gut durchdacht ist auch, dass man die Schuhe am Eingang auszieht und bei Bedarf Hausschuhe leihen kann. Die Lage des Hauses ist recht einsam, aber perfekt für Ausflüge auf die Halbinsel Snæfellsnes und zum Glymur. Danke, Anna. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

This 1898 home has been remodeled to incorporate sinks in each room. Outstanding food available for self serve. Period furniture except for the great beds! Would happily stay again!

Hyggeligt gæstehus.. God atmosfære.

The place was amazing. I have stayed in some old homes but this is now #1. The place exuded its charm from first entry right through the exploration of it's space. You didn't have to read "Welcome". the place spoke it everywhere you looked. The kitchen was stocked, the common space spoke.. come sit.. and there was a peacefulness that wrapped you when you explored outside. We were lucky to meet some great fellow travelers that stayed there as well. Don't pass it up!

Rustige omgeving. Je wordt verrast als je binnenstapt in de woning. Wat een gezelligheid! De eigenaresse Anna is niet aanwezig, maar toch is er een warm onthaal. De koelkast staat vol voor een goed ontbijt! En we hebben er heerlijk geslapen.
