The property was not cleaned properly at all. I found hair on the bed and toilet, a stain on the toilet roll, an unflushed toilet, blood stains on the bed and plenty of dust all over. The rooms could benifit from larger shower space and some sound proofing as i could hear every little noise and only managed to get 4 hours sleep. The hotel in general could do with a repaint as there are marks all over the white walls. The breakfast is very limited and the croissants were very dry! There are also no decaf drink options in hot beverages. The only positives were the staff who were welcoming and friendly, the location and the lovely air conditioning.

No elevator, as advertised, but our bags were carried up and down the stairs. but the staff was very willing to help, and with smiles. However, stairs were very narrow, with no handrails, and I require a railing to hang onto, as I have a brace on one knee.

rooms and bathrooms are too small. no elevator, very narrow and steep stairs. perhaps ok for a student hostel but not for the amount that is being changed.

Great little hotel in an excellent location. The staff were absolutely wonderful: friendly, responsive, and always quick to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself is a bit older and doesn't have some of the extras you might find in larger hotels (there’s no lobby area to relax in, no elevator, and the staircase is quite narrow). That said, everything was very clean, the service was great, and the location really couldn't be better. We had a great stay and would happily come back again.

I think your experience here depends on your room. I was leery reading the negative reviews, but the standard double room we booked was perfectly clean. It was in the basement, but not the sub-basement, and had a skylight. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but very tiny and not for larger people. The location was walkable to Kings Cross, the British Museum and British Library. If you just need a place in and out of Kings Cross for a night it isn't a bad choice, but watch the pricing on different booking sites - we paid way too much for what it was.

This was my second stay, and the hotel remains friendly, welcoming, and well‑organised. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, reliable place to stay near King's Cross Station.

Window: ceiling windows only or your note book also installed a widow. Table & chair: not available. Anyone over 300 lbs not advice to take shower bath since you may not get in the shower tub. Washing basin: the smallest size you can imagine. Air conditioning: too cold even you adjusted.

I had a pleasant stay overall, well suited to the nature of my trip, and the staff deserve a particular mention as they were consistently kind, attentive, and helpful throughout. That said, there are a couple of areas I'd encourage the hotel to address. Cleanliness was the most notable concern: I found dust clusters in the bathroom, hair on the bedside table, and hair under the sheets. This suggested the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned before check in, which is something a simple pre arrival inspection checklist could easily resolve. The second issue was with the air conditioning, which repeatedly switched off during the night, causing the room to become uncomfortably warm and disrupting my sleep on multiple occasions. It may be worth having the unit inspected or serviced, as reliable climate control is a basic expectation for guest comfort.

Very good position for onward journey

I enjoyed my stay here, although it was a shame that our room was located on the ground floor, and we barely had any access to daylight, which made the impression of the room very different from the pictures of Expedia. The noise was another problem, as you can hear outside of the window and the door connected to the corridor very clearly. The bathroom was beautiful. But the whole room smelt like mould a little bit. The staff were really helpful and let us leave our suitcases for a few hours. It also goes without saying that the access to go anywhere was brilliant because it’s near King’s Cross station.

The room was very clean and newly renovated. The staff were accommodating to our quick need of a room due to missing the train. Coffee in the room, toothbrush and tooth pad along with bottled water was a nice addition to our stay.

The room was small, it was big enough to have the bed and two small night stands with a tv on the wall on the side of the bed, so you had to watch either laying on your side or laying across the bed. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The only thing dirty was the toilet brush scrub that was visible on the side of the toilet (gross). They only had a little 3 prong rack with three hangers. But The room had a small luggage space that could have easily had some shelves or a bar to use as a closet, which would have been nice. They had two complementary bottles of water which was nice. AC worked great and there was plenty of hot water. Bed was decent. Staff was great and kind. Overall I would recommend.

Location is great but it was a terrible night's sleep due to the corridor light remaining on all nights and a massive gap in the door frame letting in the light Breakfast room is too small and I ended up not having breakfast at all
