After check in I got a room in a completely different hotel Old Country Motel

the TV didn't work on dish a/c shut off in night had to play with plug to get working again attendant looked at TV didn't give a dam

Affordable, clean, helpful staff.

Room was small no double lock on door can be opened with a code that staff know. Old carpet flooring that has umpleasant odor

Run down.. bathroom door didn’t close… small rooms .. good thing quiet until about 5 when traffic started No bugs

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a little rough in condition, but kept clean.(Paint on walls and doors scraped, formerly smoking room...) Convenience to restaurants and gas stations is nice, the area is also a bit rough with homeless people and crackheads along the major route, but hey, Thunder Bay!!!

This hotel is called the Modern Motel, which is completely unrepresentative of the place! It was very poorly presented from the curb-side and far from modern. The room was in a very poor state of repair with numerous scratches gouged into the wall paintwork. The bathroom was far from modern, cracked sink, stained walls and bathtub. The shower whilst warm, was such a fine weak spray it was very ineffective. The Airconditioner was window fitted, very weak and behind the curtains, making it also inefficient and ineffective. On the positive side the beds were comfortable and the sheets appeared clean, however there was that tell tale odour in the room which indicates it needs a good top to toe clean. There were three indiscriminate chairs pushed into an alcove making it inaccessible (I assume this was supposed to be the wardrobe). The fridge worked well and we were able to park right outside the room door. I would not use the place again. It was not at a level expected for the price.

It was fine it was cheap the clerk tried to rip us off

I stayed one night It was ok. Washroom and wifi could bed. Better But It was , his it was !

Every other motel was booked solid , we were fortunate to find location to stay , we were grateful

The staff was an absolute gem. Such a great people person. Parking was ideal, right next to the room. The room on the other hand was not very clean. The sink in the washroom was falling off the wall and not real clean. Didnt feel comfortable enough to even shower there. Kinda musty smell. The freezer in the fridge had something funky frozen within the ice. The bed was clean and smelled real nice tho. The walls are not real thick and the ppl next door had us up half the night. When traveling 12 & 14 hour days, you look forward to a good night's rest. We managed to get about 4 hours sleep.

The building is old but well kept.

The stove didn’t work, needed better cleaning, baseboards and behind furniture were in need of a good clean. Much more needed to be spent on maintenance. Place needed painting, badly.

Watch your billing I was charged a charge I did not know about untill to late

Wonderful place to stay in Thunder Bay. Owner is really nice and helpful/accommodating.
