Our 5 night stay at Solar Madriaga exceeded expectations. The staff was courteous and accommodating, including housekeeping, who did our laundry twice and the contracted transfer driver, Ruben. Communication via What's App prior to our visit was responsive, welcoming, and informative and helped with Spanish to English translation. The food at Aloe was fresh and delicious, and the drinks were both beautiful and of the highest quality. Both wait staff and bar tenders were great. Favorites included the veggie empanadas and the Elqui Pisco Mule. The property was tranquil and very quiet and all the historical aspects of its 100+ year old history were a delight - as were the lovely kitties in the courtyard. We did experience an unforeseen issue related to the age of the property on our last night, but the owners responded almost immediately to our report of a problem, and accommodated us to our satisfaction, quickly and with grace and courtesy. I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful stay in Vicuña and the Elqui Valley.

Tinha tudo para ser incrível, mas infelizmente encontrei uma aranha de rincon dentro da minha mala - correndo risco de ser mordida. Preferi um hotel mais caro para me sentir mais segura e o que aconteceu foi o contrário, já que estamos falando de um dos animais mais perigosos do país.

Rommet var rent, romslig, fint dekorert og hjemmekoselig. Fantastisk atriumshage hvor det var stille og rolig og virkelig avslappende å være. Fantastisk og hyggelig og hjelpsom personale. Gode parkeringsmuligheter like utenfor hotellet.

A estadia no hotel foi incrível, cama muito confortável, roupa de cama impecável, equipe muito atenciosa. Tem um restaurante anexo com almoço e jantar muito honestos. Único ponto negativo é o café da manhã,

Hotel incrível, acho que está entre os melhores do Valle . A decoração fo quarto e banheiro é de extremo bom gosto , ótima cama , roupa de banho, ducha , banheira . A alimentação excelente, a equipe também foi muito prestativa.

Byron was very helpful in getting us checked in and sharing information about the property and its amenities. We enjoyed our stay and found the family suite spacious. Breakfast was delicious (they allow seconds of any dish), street parking in front of the hotel entrance was easy. Facility is charming. The only oddity is the very tall sink height in the bathroom. Other than that, we found the location excellent and the staff warm and friendly. The resident cat, Loy, was a charmer.

Nice charming hotel close by Elqui. Probably one of the best spots around. Aloe restaurant is also very good. Overall a spotless stay. Jonathan (property manager) and his team were nothing but great to us; always keen to help.

We arrived to an excellent welcome, a tour of the hotel and room. We could not have felt more at home, a treat after being on the road for 6 weeks. As we came more familiar with the hotel, restaurant and bar, the welcoming and friendly spirit of all of the staff team was at the fore. The sympathetic design of the room and communal areas again is just relaxing. The town of Vicuna is also a treat in chilled atmosphere. We booked one night, stayed two only because we had to be somewhere. We wish we could have stayed longer. Juan was particularly engaging and great English too.

Beautiful property in Vicuña. Quiet, but easily walkable to the main square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Excellent hotel in the desert. Rooms were very well decorated with a huge bathroom and bath. Easy walk into the plaza. Breakfast and the restaurant food for lunch/dinner were amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect base for observatory visits in the area.

Das Hotel war ein Highlight auf unserer Reise. Familiengeführt, herzlicher Empfang und sehr bemühtes Personal. Die gesamte Anlage ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und man hat uns mit Tipps zur Umgebung unterstützt. Innenhof und Pool waren (Dank vieler Blumen) ein angenehmer Ruhehafen, sodass wir unseren Aufenthalt noch verlängert haben.

Very pleasant guest house/ hotel. But beware of Hotel.com pictures they are misleading. It appeared the room had private outside sitting area (and jacuzzi) It had neither and little natural light.
