위치는 도로옆에 있어서 왔다갔다하기에는 편합니다. 그러나 그만큼 시끄럽고 자동차소리와 바로옆에 지나가는 기차소리가 수면에 방해가 됩니다. 같이주는 귀마개는 소용이 없습니다. 직원들의 응대도 아주 형편없습니다. 숙소끼리의 간격도 굉장히 가까워서 발코니에서 쉬기에 어렵습니다. 이 근처에 다른 롯지들이 있으니, 다른곳을 고려하시는게 좋을것 같습니다. 운영하는 매점도 별게 없습니다. 저는 다음 여행에서는 이 숙소에서 머물 생각이 없습니다.

The service is baaad. The train sounds are very loud and often. I have no plans to visit again. But the male staff who housekeeping is very kind.

통나무집입니다. 아무래도 오래된 통나무집이라 쾌적하거나 청결하진 않습니다. 7월 말 최성수기에 묵어서 그런지 숙박비 어마무시 비쌌습니다. 선택의 여지가 적었지만 이정도 시설이면 최성수기라도 가격이 너무 비싸다고 생각합니다. 실내도 3인이 쓰기엔 좁은 편이였습니다. 직원분이 친절하기는 했으나 또 가고싶은 숙소는 아닙니다. 객실 내에 간이 주방 시설이 있는데 벤프 마트에서 소고기를 사다가 구워 먹었으면 좋았을 걸 그랬는데 그러지 못해 많이 아쉽습니다.

시설이 다소 낡고 주방시설이 깔끔하지 않아 첫인상은 좋지 않았습니다. 그런데 이곳에서 숙박한 후 몸이 좋아지는 진귀한 경험을 했네요. 한달전 몸을 다쳐 통증으로 한달간 불면증을 앓았고 캐나다록키 여행중에도 계속 불면증에 시달렸는데 여행 8일째날 이 숙소에 묵으면서 잠이 쏟아져서 푹 잤고 밤중에 그리고 다음날 아침에도 통증이 사라졌어요! 물론 다음날 다른숙소에서 무리해서 다시 아파지긴 했지만요. 캐슬마운틴의 정기가 좋은 건지 통나무집이 좋은 건지 신기하네요.

어느 정도 불편함을 감수하고 Cabin에 머문 것인데, 편의 시설이 너무 잘 갖추어져 있음. 모든게 기대 이상이었음.

펜션식으로 자유롭게 요리를 하도록 모든 주방기구들이 갖추어져 있습니다. 가격대비 만족감은 높은 편이구요. 저희는 숙박만 해서 만족감은 상대적으로 좀 적었습니다.

The cabin was dated along with the furnishings but it was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. It is about a 25 minute drive to Banff and Lake Louise and we had an awesome grizzly encounter right down the road on 1A with 3 grizzlies. The staff are great. There is a small grocery store that has essentials, beer, wine and the creamer you will need for your morning coffee provided.

As I've noted, the property is very well maintained and kept clean,HOWEVER, what the pictures don't reveal is that this lodging is literally off the road, almost like a rest stop off of a highway AND the train runs right behind the property so at all hours of the day and NIGHT, you get to enjoy the Trans-Canadian Railroad roaring by. It's so bad that they actually have earplugs on each side of the beds in the rooms to help you deal with it. The second major issue that we encountered was that this lodging automatically limits your use of the wifi after some arbitrary amount of data so at the end of the night if you're enjoying Youtube or some other streaming service, then be prepared to have it suddenly not function and perpetually refresh. In 2026, that's a bit much.

Wonderful place to stay for three days

Clean cottage,friendly and helpful staff, perfect location between Banff and Lake Louise with many excellent hiking trails nearby. Beware that the railtrack is next to the facility so be prepared...

Good location to the ski hill

We had an excellent stay at Castle Mountain Chalets and absolutely loved the place. Everything was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and exceeded our expectations. The only downside to note is the proximity to the railway track, as train noise can be noticeable. Overall, it is a fantastic property and we would highly recommend it!

This place was perfect. We will be back for sure.

Only complaint is your next to the train tracks so there's more noise then usually, especially at night time. But everything else was A+++ amazing.

This charming wooden lodge offered clean, spacious rooms, a fully equipped kitchenette, breathtaking mountain views, and unique rustic character. Our kids absolutely loved the experience and didn’t want to leave.

Amazingly friendly staff. A great place to get away and relax.

Nice stay. Will come again. It would be nice to have more amenities around. But overall nice to be in nature.
