Everything was fantastic!

First off breakfast was a definite highlight. Best continental breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. Such great variety. The grounds themselves are quite nice. We spent a couple nights out in the court yard and utilized the microwave to heat up our left over dinner which was handy. Our room on the other hand was quite musty smelling and damp. Our bed sheets felt wet all the time. Not sure whether this is just our room or other people find the same issue. Our bedside light and remove also didn’t work.

This was our first time staying here and we will be back. We could not be happier with everything about The Donald Gordon Hotel. The inside of the Hotel was so clean and so lovely. I loved the sitting area in the room with the piano. The outside was very well maintained with lovely flowers. There is a patio with seating in the courtyard. The building is so beautiful. We didn't feel like we were at just a "Hotel", it felt really special. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. Okay, let's talk about the glorious free breakfast. Oh my goodness!! The best breakfast we have experienced at a Hotel. It was a dining room experience with the lovely staff attending to you, but with a buffet style. The food was amazing!! Everything you could think of, they had and so delicious. I recommend The Donald Gordon Hotel 100%. It's a very different experience than a regular hotel. It's a very special place. Thank you❤️

The room and facility has charm. Water pressure was a little less than desirable. Friendly front desk staff. Included breakfast is a nice touch as well. Ample parking with quick access to all major roads nearby.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast and location is great if you are visiting someone at Queens!

Very big room. Comfortable, Plenty of parking. A great breakfast! The only downside is the walking distance to downtown Kingston is about a half hour plus. It's a nice walk, a safe walk but a long walk.

Writing Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, the atmosphere is quiet and cozy, and the large parking lot was very convenient. The breakfast was decent, but there were very few options for vegetarians. It would be great to have fresh or cooked vegetables. The only thing that was disappointing was the cleanliness of our room. We found a pair of dirty underwear between the bed and the nightstand, apparently left behind by the previous guests. Unfortunately, this affected our overall impression, as cleanliness is one of the most important aspects of any hotel stay. Despite this unpleasant experience, we still enjoyed our stay and hope the hotel will improve its housekeeping standards and consider offering more vegetarian breakfast options.

Good Place to stay!

Hello, Our stay was great and we would book again. We got into our room early, which was great as the weather was terrible and our plans changed. Breakfast was extremely busy and I think a surprise to staff, given the terrible weather. Many guests may have changed plans and booked at last minute. The staff did a great job of problem solving, working together and getting additional tables set up in another room. Food was excellent and didn't run out - great job! Room was a bit tired (231) - knobs on dresser fell off, edge of desk loose and view was directly facing a roof - however, we got an early check in, so that was terrific! Thank you!

Parking was really good

The staff was absolutely top notch. The room was nice and the food was great. However, the room was damp. Everything in the room felt damp. The bed sheets felt like they had not been in the dryer quite long enough. There was also the faint smell of dead mouse.

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, beds were super comfortable, breakfast was outstanding. If you plan on doing the Kingston Pen tour this is conveniently located and within walking distance.
