I booked a single room for 3 nights and wasn't disappointed. The room is very small but in reality, this didn't bother me at all. The bed was comfortable albeit a little softer than I prefer, there was a kettle, tea and coffee, a safe and a small TV. Fortunately, the window could be opened and there was air conditioning available. With regards to the air conditioning control panel, I could never seem to make any adjustments and it was so brightly lit that I felt like I was sleeping with a lamp on at night.
The bathroom really is very small and the bathroom door was not required in fact, despite it being a concertina door I actually found it a bit of a pain. Additionally, the shower head needs a good clean or replacement as although there was always plenty of hot water, I felt that the shower could have flowed better.
A typical continental breakfast was included in the room rate.
The room and the hotel in general was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely polite and professional.
When you add in the location, AND the fact that the hotel has an elevator, it was a really great room for the price. I would have no hesitation booking the same hotel again. There are very few single rooms in Amsterdam so you normally end up paying twice the price for a room with a double bed in it.
