Ich habe mich "nach der Frist zur kostenlosen Stornierung" aber vor unserer geplanten Einreise über Expedia "Nachrichten an die Unterkunft" an die Managerin gewendet und geschrieben, dass wir leider die Reise nicht eintreten können, da wir ein Enkelkind bekommen haben. Ich bat drum, ob wir ggf. eine Umbuchung machen können. Die Managerin hat diese Nachrichten bis zu unserem Anreisetag und auch danach vollkommen ignoriert und nicht beantwortet. Sie hat sich bei mir erst dann per sms gemeldet, nachdem wir an der Unterkunft nicht erschienen sind. Auch dann, als ich ihr per sms antwortete, dass Sie sich bitte die Nachrichten, die ich ihr über Expedia geschrieben habe, anschauen soll, schrieb sie zurück, sie habe keine Nachrichten erhalten und wollte in dieses Thema nicht eingehen. Da wir nicht erschienen sind, hat sie geschrieben, das der volle Betrag fällig ist und nicht zurückerstattet werden wird. Über Expedia Kundendienst hatte ich Kontakt aufgenommen, da ich über unnütze SMS-Schreiberei die Nase voll hatte. Expedia gegenüber hat sie sich dann irgendwann doch bereit erklärt, eine Umbuchung für das gleiche Objekt vorzunehmen. Während dessen ist mein Schwager von schwerer Krankheit verstorben und dann habe mich um die Sache nicht mehr kümmern können. Schlussendlich wollte ich aber mit diesem Hotel nichts mehr zu tun haben. Für mich ist diese Gastgeberin unten durch. Kundenorientierung, Mitgefühl und Freundlichkeit scheinen bei ihr Fehl am Platz zu sein.

My husband and I went for a short weekend to walk around the area….upon arrival we were greeted by Alison and made very welcome and a lovely cup of tea. The property sits high up in lynton and we had great views of the sea and the room was very well appointed and clean and the most comfy bed… we ordered a sharing platter for our evening meal which was delicious and plenty of food…they also did a packed lunch for our Saturday walk which kept us going to get up them hills!! they also have a self service bar which was great and good choice of drinks and snacks. We met victor in the evening who does the chefing and made again to feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely and had a great choice and the service was excellent at all times and we enjoyed our stay very much and we will definitely be going back. Thank you Alison and victor for a wonderful stay xx

Wonderful place to stay, amazing hosts, nothing too much trouble, extremely clean, and the views from the rooms are incredible. Great choice of breakfast and only a couple of minute walk from the centre. Couldn’t ask for more

Excellent B&B. Breakfast was very good, comfy room with nice touches such as the tea/coffee tray with fresh milk. Fluffy white towels. Tons of electrical sockets in all the right places. Very conveniently located for the small town and stunning local walks.

We enjoyed our stay here very much; it was a very comfortable room with lots of thoughtful touches and great views. We were provided with a fantastic breakfast too with a lot of choice. We made use of the guest lounge and enjoyed the fresh milk which was made available for our teas and coffees in room. The entrance to the hotel is tight but OK and do check your Sat Nav takes you through the town into Lynway and not into the southern part of Lynway which is has no access to the guest house. Also check your Spam inbox as the guest house had very helpfully sent directions which had unfortunately got lost in there and were seen too late. If you are concerned about parking, there is a large public car park at the bottom of the hill. This was a fabulous place to stay for our planned walks to Woody Bay and NT Watersmeet, a highly recommended guest house and we would happily return.

Next summer, same town, same hotel ! Yeah, that good.

From the moment we booked in we were greeted with the most friendly and obliging couple we could wish to meet. The standard or the hotel is exceptional and we had a really comfortable stay there. Breakfast was really good and we would certainly try to stay at Sinai House hotel if we visit the area again

Sinai House was brilliant, Alison and Dennis were very friendly hosts and provided excellent breakfasts, with huge amounts of choice. Very comfortable, large room with amazing views. Great selection in the honesty bar, especially nice to be able to have a drink on the balcony in good weather.

Great service, lovely room in a delightful town. Waking up to the sea everyday was fantastic and breakfast was delicious I recommend the french toast and fresh fruit skewer. The owners are great and full of knowledge for the local area.
