The hotel is lovely and the staff are very polite and friendly. Situated right on the seafront the front facing room was large with perfect views. We visited at the end of February and it was a shame that the bar was not set up to sell draught beers and the main restaurant was not open in the evenings. My husband is gluten free which the hotel knew in advance but he was not able to have any gluten free cereal for breakfast. I do want to reiterate the hotel and our room was lovely and Sidmouth is a thriving lovely town. We did really enjoy our stay.

Everything was perfect, from courtesy parking, reception, cleaning staff, all professional polite and very smartly dressed. Would highly recommend and will definitely book here again if I am planning another trip to Sidmouth.

Not really used to 4* hotels and the hushed tones around the communal areas. Service was excellent and it’s hard to fault the hotel at all.

Every member of Hotel Riviera staff were extremely efficient, attentive and polite at all times. The dining room served good quality, delicious meals at a reasonable £30 for a 3 course meal. Nothing was too much trouble. Eating and drinking on the terrace was very pleasant but expensive. The seating areas and dining room are air conditioned which makes it very comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Lovely stylish hotel white table clothes & excellent staff so friendly & helpful❤️ Nothing is too much trouble all the food we had was 5star it’s a characterful hotel with the service &cleanliness ….we had a room on floor 1 during recent hot days very warm but bearable! Nothing is too much trouble in this hotel we will be returning Thankyou ❤️❤️

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast delicious I would only suggest that marmalade is included in the selection of jams at breakfast (a minor detail) Many thanks for a lovely but all too brief stay

Hotel in great location - refurbished - great beds with very luxurious linen. Staff very attentive. Only down side was the refurbishment was very old fashioned. If this was more contemporary we may have stayed to eat and drink. It was far too fussy

Lovely hotel in a great location with fantastic sea views. The welcome and attention by the staff was excellent. The only disappointment was that the hotel bill at the end of the stay was much less than what we had already paid to Expedia.
