전체 평가 및 리뷰 Black Isle Bar and Rooms

Das Personal an der Bar war sehr nett. Um zu den Zimmern zu kommen gibt es einen separaten Eingang. Das Zimmer war sauber und nicht 08:15. Es hat mir sehr gefallen.

Simple rooms, very clean. Note: no TV. Pizza down stairs is excellent.

The room was clean and sufficient for us to basically just sleep there. The noise coming through the vent fan in the bathroom was loud. We got hot at night so had to open the windows…it was noisy. But we managed and overall would stay again.

Great location and reasonable rate. Staff was friendly and the restaurant downstairs was a positive.

Perfect base for Inverness. Just the basics but close to station, shops, dining and the pizza was delicious from downstairs.

Super hyggeligt sted. Det lå virkelig godt og der var en hyggelig bar/spisested lige under. Det eneste man kan sætte en finger på, er at lyden fra gaden var meget tydelig og der var ikke meget lydisolering. Dette var dog ligegyldigt for os. Godt i forhold til pris. Vi ville klart komme tilbage.

Came in after completing the last stage of the Great Glen Way. Check in was easy at the bar. Room was upstairs. Side door to access rooms without going through the bar area (or when closed). A little loud as the beer garden was audible, but I was warned of that in advance and it wasn't loud enough to disturb me. Room was small, but big enough for me and my pack. Had a stool to sit on, and I would have liked a chair with a back. Because of bar opening hours, was no place to leave my bag at checkout to further explore before leaving town, but that was OK. Well situated in the old town, pubs and restaurants abound.

Chambre assez minimaliste : en rapport avec le prix pour le secteur, mais il ne faut pas s’attendre à un palace. On y dort et on repart vite. Accueil sympa, mais aucun service spécifique à la l’hôtellerie. Parking dans la rue possible la nuit, mais il faut déplacer la voiture tôt le matin ou payer une heure pour rester un peu plus. La partie bar / restau fait le taf : bière pas mauvaise, pizzas bonnes. Mais on a préféré finir la soirée au Mac Gregor’s avec une ambiance terrible, très haute en couleur avec de la musique live celtique : superbe ! Et vus les habitués en kilt, on ne s’est pas trompés.

This is a great choice if you just need a place to sleep because you're going to be gone all day doing tourist stuff. Good location, good value, nice amount of space in the room. There was no t.v. (which is fine, just unusual) and the bed wasn't especially luxurious. One of the light fixtures worked only occasionally. I would stay there again with no hesitation if I was on a budget. We were worried it would be loud, being above a bar, and while we could hear people downstairs, it was never so obtrusive that we couldn't sleep, just a quiet murmur.

Great location and very cozy!

Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean. Bed was very uncomfortable and could feel every spring. Shower had mold and room had a musty odor near toilet. Could hear every noise from the hallway and staircase. Expected to hear the bar below but was surprised i could also hear the bars across the way. Its a convenient location but wouldn't stay here again.

Das Personal war alles in allem extrem nett und hilfsbereit. Mit einer Ausnahme. Bei meiner Abreise habe ich um ca. 8.30h an der Rezeption von Black Isle Hostels angerufen (gehört irgendwie zusammen) und gefragt, ob mir jemand mi tmeinen Koffern helfen könnte. De Typ an Teleohon meinte, er könne frühestens in einer halben Stunde kommen. Das wäre aber zu spät gewesen für mich. Also habe ich versucht, die Koffer selber aus dem Zimmer zu bringen. Dabei fiel allerdings meine Türe zu und der Schlüssel war - wo auch sonst - im Zimmer ... also nochmals anrufen. Der Typ kam dann auch ziemlich schnell, war aber total unfreundlich. Er trug mir dann auch nur den einen Koffer nach unten, den Rest (noch ein Koffer und ein grosser Rucksack) liess er mich selber schleppen. Ich wollte ihm eigentlich ein Trinkgeld geben, aber der war so schnell weg ich konnte mich noch nicht einmal bedanken !!! Schade - denn sonst war das Personal wirklich freundlich, hilfsbereit und super nett !!!

Great staff, good location, room was clean and well cared for. Bit of a hike up the stairs that could be a challenge for some.

We arrived late by train and the staff were very helpful despite the bar being very busy. We were able to order a pizza and have it delivered to our room. Tea selection in the room was pretty good.

Had a comfortable stay at Room 3. Room and bathroom look new with sufficient lightings. Excellent shower system with hot water within a few seconds and strong water pressure. There was no cupboard nor hangers but with 3 hanging hooks. Quick and smooth check-in with James who so willingly assisted with my luggage during both check-in and check-out. Short walk to Inverness station, Inverness Castle, Inverness Cathedral, River Ness, local tour meeting points and shops. Will be back again.
