Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast options ..

We had a wonderful stay at Stanwell House Hotel. The staff are excellent, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in Room 32, which was perfectly cosy with a very comfortable bed and offered lovely views. The breakfast was great—high quality and plenty of choice. My only minor note is that drinks can be quite expensive at the bar. Highly recommended for a boutique stay in Lymington!

Lovely hotel , restaurant service was very slow , we waited nearly 30 minutes for our drinks . It also annoys me how they now try and automatically add service charge to the room charge , I politely challenged this and was told that this has been introduced as the staff all earn a minimum wage .Note to hotel owners, pay your staff a decent wage !

We stayed on a busy Friday night for the bank holiday and the hotel was lovely. Great check in staff but a terrible experience in the Salt Bar for 2 simple drinks, over 30 minutes to get served and generally chaotic. Breakfast was an effort, with no plates for the buffet, no glasses at the buffet (placed on tables but not told to take them up for juice etc), Orders were not taken in a logical manner, hot drinks took an age to arrive and tables were not cleared properly or checked before seating people. A generally chaotic service which was quite stressful for us and others seated near us. That said, the breakfast food was great when it came out and the coffees were very nice just all a bit hectic and not very fast.

The room was lovely , very clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was a joy to stay at.

Fabulous hotel and Fabulous Staff

Great boutique hotel ,staff are young but brilliant, excellent customer service,food top quality both breakfast and dinner. My only complaint is parking, very frustrating, when full you are left to sort your own parking, not good. New Forest parking discs should be made available.

If The Ivy did hotels this is what they would be like. Beautiful decor, quirky layout and lovely hidden garden. Room felt luxurious and the bed was super comfy. We ate in the garden which was very relaxed, such a pretty setting. The breakfast was superb, eggy brioche with bacon was delicious and the continental selection was very high end. Latte and Americano coffees included which we've noticed that some hotels have started charging for - not good when you are paying a premium for your stay. Excellent experience all round.

Bed was very comfortable. Very accommodating for our dog, dog bed, blanket and sausage treats provided. Bathroom shower floor needed cleaning or replaced. Bathroom wasn’t large enough for the toilet, it was squashed between the large sink and the bathroom door. Making it very uncomfortable.

Beautiful building, room, facilities and very accomodating staff, our only tiny point to raise is that there were a number of hairs on the floor in our bathroom when we arrived which was a tiny bit off putting

Beautifull place very good service

The hotel was lovely and very central in Lymington. The bedroom was decorated really nicely & pleased there was air conditioning in the room. The only comment, the bathroom was a bit small. The toilet was very close to the door.

First time to Lymington and Stanwell House….what a beautiful hotel.Would thoroughly recommend it

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff, my only slight negative is our room was at the top of the hotel with very low ceilings and I spent most of the time in the room having to duck or be otherwise hunched over. I'd definitely stay again though, but ideally not in that room.

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Lymington. We had delicious cocktails in the bar before having supper in the main restaurant. Amazing service and lovely food. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful property! Beautiful bedroom - very clean - premium bedding. Delightful garden - huge with amazing wisteria which all enhanced our cream tea. Staff very helpful all over. Parking and unloading not the easiest. Breakfast was disappointing - practically cleared up buffet 20 minutes before end. Overall would absolutely recommend!

Everything about this place is lovely! Comfortable, clean, friendly, like staying with a family friend but being spoiled!

Hotel was recommended by Elderflower restaurant and we would definitely agree to recommend this to anyone staying in Lymington, it was all decorated for xmas and was beautiful and festive. Room was lovely and the bed was like a cloud, we will definitely be returning in summer months.
